About Dia
Learning to paint is like any other discipline and requires practice. I started off like everyone else and needed years to curate a style and method of painting. I've learned on my own and I believe that makes me a better teacher, more able to share my knowledge to others like me. Despite the freedom in creating art, there are some methods and tips to follow that help images come alive, with color or emotion, and I'd love to share my techniques!

I'm a self-taught artist who has pursued an interest in the art of painting. Whatever I teach or share will reflect on the experience of someone who has no formal training and simply wants to learn to create. I believe in learning and improvising as you go, and will lead in a very fluid, positive, and encouraging manner. Painting is a reflection of a story you want to tell or capture, you just have to be willing to make bold strokes (although having someone guide you always helps at first!)
