About Hannah
I love teaching and finding wonder in the world. I believe every student can learn how to create art, how to find it in themselves and see the beauty in what they create. There is a technical side to everything, which is fundamental to learning, but art has a power to it.
I have been doing critique for four years and teaching for the same amount of time. I look forward to meeting you and seeing how I can help you along your journey, whether that be a road to college, or learning something new.

I primarily teach through projects and hands-on work. Depending on the medium, lessons will have four stages: ideation, sketch, final, and revisions. Critique is given after each step so students have a better idea of what to work on, resulting in a more satisfying final piece. Ideation revolves around gathering inspiration, researching, and creating many quick "thumbnail" sketches. Multiple sketches will then be explored, and one chosen for final. After the image is created, one last critique will be given so revisions can be made.
I believe everyone has an artistic potential, and can adjust my teaching style to fit your experience level and goals. My expertise is best suited for those with beginner to intermediate art skills.
