About Alexis
I am highly passionate about teaching and helping my students succeed! I believe a great foundation in math is important for all students, since skills such as critical thinking and problem-solving are best developed through mathematics, and these are skills that benefit students for the rest of their lives. Last May, I graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Pure Mathematics and a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance. I have been tutoring math since 2018, and I also have taught flute lessons since 2022.

When I meet a new a student, we make a list of both short and long term goals, as well with overall plans on how to achieve them. Afterwards, I cater my lesson plans to fit these goals. My lessons are for all levels of math ranging from middle school to college.
