About Laila
As a Biology graduate and current Medical Assistant, I have a strong background in science, study habits, and student mentorship. I have experienced numerous fast-paced medical and academic settings where clear communication, patience, and adaptability are essential. These roles have strengthened my ability to break down complex material into clear, manageable steps too.
I enjoy helping students build both understanding and confidence. My tutoring style is structured but flexible, as I adjust explanations to match each student’s unique learning style and pace. I focus on concept clarity and extensive practice, rather than memorization alone. In addition, I have experience in supporting neurodivergent learners, including autism and other children with various disabilities.
Topics I commonly support include science (including core school subjects and natural/environmental sciences), mathematics, and general study strategies. My goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free space where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress each session!
