About Anannya
As a student who has struggled with finding a tutor in the past, I understand how important it is to find a tutor who is not only highly knowledgeable in their area of study but also highly trustworthy and personable. I aim to create environments where students can explore topics that they didn't feel comfortable exploring in class or were too afraid to ask their professors about.
I have worked with a variety of tutors and found that the most effective tutors listen to their student, cater to their level of understanding and provide ample resources in addition to their face-to-face tutoring. As a tutor, I aim to embody these ideals to help students exceed their expectations and gain a new found understanding of the content of their class.

Hello! My name is Anannya and I recently graduated from UGA with a BS in Genetics. I have been a peer tutor for the Division of Academic Enhancement for the past two years and have tutored undergraduate students mostly in organic chemistry 1, biochemistry and genetics. As a pre-med student, I learned how to break down these concepts.
A typical lesson plan consists of bringing problems to the student to see initially where they are at, asking deeper questions to probe understanding of the foundational concepts and having mini-lectures if needed to help frame the concept in a new way.
As a tutor, I have helped a wide range of students see the fun that comes along with these subjects. Through various metaphors and a wide range of resources, I have helped students jump up letter grades and see the ways that this connects to their future profession.
