About Maame
As a current teacher, I try to create a welcoming and open space. Students have thoughts and ideas of their own, and I believe in allowing those to be shared in a way that is not detrimental to others but allows for discord among all. I am also a teacher that loves history from all around the world, and that’s what makes me unique. I can also bridge connections from place to place that perhaps one would not think of; history is a story of building blocks, and we all have the ability to see and change patterns.

History is about memorization and reading however history can also be fun if taught through action, film, debate and more. Being creative when teaching history is what guides and moves discussions forward! Being open minded to past actions but allowing for debate and discussion can really open your eyes to what history’s place is in this world!
