I am a professional musician and home teacher and I have been practicing these two professions with passion for several years to students of all ages and at all levels. My method of learning is adapted to everyone, because there are no identical students. For me, go through the fun aspect is the main for later, to address a more complex technique. We must seek the facilities of the student at first, and detect its difficulties thereafter. If learning is not fun, it does not make you want to practice.
