About Maggie
My name is Maggie! I am from the USA, although I lived and worked as an ESL teacher in Vietnam for two years, and am now living in Amsterdam to complete a master's degree.
I am a lifelong learner, as cheesy as that may sound. I have predominantly been a science student, although I am great in math and English. I love to write short fiction stories, and I thoroughly enjoy editing papers and resumes (I know, quite a boring hobby ;)).
I was a competitive swimmer most of my life so I still enjoy swimming, as well as reading, writing, watching tv/movies, cooking, and hanging out with my friends. I also love to travel and learn about new cultures.

My methods are tailored around you! I will begin by investigating your current goals, as well as what you feel are your strengths and weaknesses. I have taught students aged 3- 60+ years old, and learned how to adapt lesson plans to suit all the varying preferences for learning.
I am very flexible and my experience is quite broad: I am a science and math student predominantly, but I most of my teaching experience is in English, and personally I love creative writing. Therefore, I am able to really mold my lesson plans around the subjects you enjoy, and in the ways in which you learn best. I can make lesson plans that are more structured and serious, or I can make plans that are visual and creative.
Ultimately, these lessons are for you! I want to ensure you get the most out of our time together, so I will prioritize creating lessons that fit your needs. I will never create standardized lesson plans because no students are the same!
