About Ethan
I'm a graduate student in English working towards my MA in English, with an expected graduation of May 2021. I've taught English, History, and Political Science at both the high school and collegiate level, including ACT, SAT, and AP test preparation. Following graduation, I plan to teach at the collegiate level, so you are gaining knowledge from someone who is devoting his life to the critical study and teaching of English Literature and Language.

In my lessons, I aim to foster a safe, open environment key to my student-centered pedagogy. This means that my lessons are dialectical exchanges of information wherein you and I converse and learn from each other. Critical understanding of and capacity for reading and writing depends on an individual's authorial voice, so I center your development on your own voice and your own capacity for learning. My graduate program has included several teaching courses and courses within the field of Composition Studies, so I will be integrating that knowledge into our lessons.
