About Tim
I’ve exhibited and sold my own paintings and sculptures. I’ve taught art history, writing, illustration, copywriting, branding and studio classes at universities. I wrote and drew a daily comic strip for 14 years. I’ve written more than 30 books, and I’ve written and directed animation, both in my own commercial studio and in studios producing feature animation. I’m Nelson Mandela’s official biographer, having written and illustrated 12 books on the South African president.

You’ll learn about creativity and the creative industry in ways you never thought possible. Sharing valuable strategic insight that can help you succeed is my main strength.
I bring together art, film, comics, writing, comedy, jazz and animation in ways that help you understand how creative expression is cohesive, and how it can be applied effectively in your specific discipline.
