About George
Hi. My name is George and I am a graduate of the University of Cambridge, having read Natural Sciences BA at Trinity Hall achieving a first class degree and placing 2nd in my year. Prior to Cambridge, I studied at the Perse School achieving four A* at A-level in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
Whilst at school, I worked closely with the Chemistry department to help run the Livermorium Society (the chemistry society) delivering lectures and tutoring advanced students in a group setting for the National Age group Chemistry Olympiads. These sessions had the aim of introducing students to mechanistic chemistry which is the foundation of both the chemistry course at Cambridge and the more challenging Olympiad questions.
From here, my passion for tutoring has grown. Since leaving school I have tutored a variety of students in Europe and Asia for their GCSE, IB, A level and admissions exams as well as through the Oxbridge interview process in mathematics, chemistry, physics and biology. All pupils have been a pleasure to teach.
At university, I was a member of the Trinity Hall Natural Sciences Society where I had the opportunity to speak to first year students who have all been through the rigorous online interview process. Outside of my scientific interests, I am a keen rugby player, who earned a half-blue in 2nd year, and represented the college in both football and cricket.

The best way to learn how to answer exam questions is to practice answering exam questions. My sessions build off of this idea with a clear focus on past paper questions. From past performance, we can work out where students weaknesses lie and then dive back into the theory where necessary. Whilst your school aims to teach you knowledge, I will teach you have to transfer knowledge into marks and top grades.
