About Eleonora
I am a graduate in Physics, with a great passion for scientific dissemination and teaching. I recently took the exams of General Pedagogy, Cultural Anthropology, Educational Psychology and Didactic Methodologies (with full marks) to become a teacher of the first and second level secondary schools once I have also obtained the master's degree.
As a child I was not at all good for mathematics, so I know very well that frustration mixed with embarrassment that happens when faced with an apparently incomprehensible exercise. I was the child who does not remember the multiplication tables and who panics in front of an expression that is too long. But then I discovered the playful appeal of mathematics and fell in love with the way it paints our reality through physics. Making this feeling germinate in the hearts of others has become my personal mission.
At the end of the classical high school, the same girl who could not do double-digit divisions had no doubts: I could not have dedicated myself to anything else that was more exciting and fun than Physics. And I was right.

From my studies in Pedagogy and Educational Psychology I have understood that some of the most important phases of learning are the construction of a good tutor-learner relationship and the definition not only of the objectives but also of the way to go to reach them. In order to identify the most effective way, in the first (free) lesson I dedicate some time to listening to the student, to understand his particularities and inclinations so that I can adapt my teaching techniques to his needs.
I am of the opinion that the study guided by curiosity and animated by the fascination for the subject is the simplest and most effective way to learn it. For this reason, in my lessons I try to show students the wonder that lies behind subjects, apparently so difficult, such as mathematics and physics.
My lessons are usually structured in two parts:
1- Understanding the theory:
Let's review the theoretical arguments together, clarify doubts and fill in previous gaps, understand the meaning of the formulas and their derivation. For each topic we look for examples of practical applications, experiments, or even simple analogies with everyday life, so that what we have learned is consolidated into real and lasting knowledge, which goes beyond the pages of the textbook.
At the end of this first phase, the student must be able to explain the topic in his own words, as if he were talking about it with a friend.
2-Approach to the exercises:
Let's solve together the exercises related to the theoretical topics just studied or those assigned at home. We learn the fundamental method and techniques to approach and solve correctly not only the problem proposed at the moment, but any type of exercise: the goal is to provide the tools that make the student independent in the study of the subject.
Furthermore , with the exercises we learn to accept mistakes not with stress and self-doubt, as often happens when one does not have a "good relationship" with the subject, but with the gratitude that is due to the opportunities for growth: an exercise that comes right at the first try is a useless exercise, which teaches us nothing that we do not already know.
My lessons are aimed at all high school students, and university students who need to prepare physics exams (mechanics -thermodynamics-electromagnetism)

Validissima insegnante
Bravissima!
