The Water Cycle (Elementary Level)
Objective:
Students will understand the stages of the water cycle and its importance in nature.
Materials:
Water cycle diagram
Glass of water
Small pot and stove (for evaporation demo)
Ice cubes
Lesson Outline:
Introduction (5 min)
Ask: "Where does rain come from?"
Show a simple water cycle diagram.
Explanation (15 min)
Discuss evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and collection using real-life examples.
Conduct a simple experiment:
Heat water in a pot → steam (evaporation).
Hold a plate with ice cubes over the steam → condensation.
Interactive Activity (15 min)
Students draw and label their own water cycle diagram.
