About Umesh

Hi, I’m Umesh Kumar Gupta.
I hold a degree in Fine Arts from the prestigious Government College of Art and Craft Calcutta and have over 10 years of experience teaching art to students of all ages.
For me, art is more than just brushstrokes—it is a powerful medium for personal expression. I love working with students who are passionate about art and eager to bring their inner thoughts and emotions to life. My goal as a teacher is to create a supportive, fear-free space where students feel confident exploring their creativity, guiding them to discover their unique artistic voice and express their feelings boldly through their work.

About the lesson

I have 10 years of art teaching experience. Teaching art to a diverse range of ages—from young children to adults—requires a thoughtful balance between foundational structure and creative encouragement.
Since beginners often feel intimidated by technical terms or the fear of "making mistakes," starting with fundamental techniques in both watercolors and oil paints gives them a clear, confidence-building roadmap.
