About Mark
I have been tutoring for nearly twenty years.I have taught over forty students privately .My students have all gone on to great success either at school or University .I was educated in London, Dublin and Oxford. I graduated with a distinction and have a Masters
from The Slade School, U.C.L in 1997.I have developed a number of art modules which have been validated and accredited by external bodies.I also work as a Tutor.I teach in a relaxed and amiable fashion whilst being very creative and approachable. I am told I display an understanding towards other cultures and diplomacy towards sensitive issues. I have delivered university foundation course for International Students to both B.A and M.A. courses. I taught on a variety of modules including E.A.P. language development, British culture and contextual studies, also developing specialist modules in media and art. I was responsible for setting assignments and exams, establishing the grading criteria for those assessments.

I have worked in a number of schools and taught on a wide variety of levels. I taught on the B.A at the Slade School University College London. I was teaching across all years and mainly in a one to one tutorial capacity. I also organized group critiques. That was in 1997. During that period I was visiting artist at Canterbury Art School. After this, for three years I was living and working in Oxford where I taught privately painting and drawing. I also worked for a number of Cramming Schools teaching ‘A’ level Art History and drawing. I would also take students on trips to the Ashmolean Museum to see the general Galleries also the print and drawing rooms. Many of the students were International so there was much emphasis placed on the special collection of the Pre-Raphaelites.
Whilst in Oxford I latterly worked within the NHS as a language consultant working with International Doctors and Nurses for Arakalien Programmes. Teaching on the Intercultural communicative competencies program. I continued to teach Art privately.
