About Corinne
I am a qualified primary school teacher with 12 years of classroom experience. I hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and an enhanced DBS check, so you can feel confident that your child is in safe and professional hands. I am also a parent of two, so I understand what matters to families.
Teaching and tutoring are what I love to do. I take great care to create a calm, encouraging space where they feel safe and secure. I want every child to know that mistakes are a natural part of learning, and that trying again is how confidence grows. When children feel relaxed and supported, they take risks, ask questions and achieve more than they thought they could.
I offer one-to-one tuition in maths, reading and writing for children from Reception to Year 4. Every session is planned around the individual child, and I work alongside the National Curriculum so that tuition supports what is happening in school. I share regular feedback with parents and carers, so you always know what we have covered and how your child is progressing.

I tutor children from Reception up to Year 4, in maths, reading and writing. Whether your child is just starting to read, needs help with times tables, or wants to feel more confident with writing, I can help.
Every child learns differently, so I begin by finding out what they already do well and where they need extra support. From there, I plan engaging sessions that build confidence, strengthen key skills and close any gaps.
For younger children, I provide structured phonics support, helping them to blend, segment and read with growing fluency. For older pupils, I focus on reading comprehension, sentence structure, punctuation, spelling and handwriting. In maths, I help children to develop number sense, recall their times tables and tackle problem-solving with confidence, so they understand the maths rather than memorising it.
My lessons are practical, encouraging and paced to suit the child. Lessons typically last between 50 minutes and an hour, which gives enough time to teach, practise and review without tiring your child.
Working in a classroom every day, I know the National Curriculum well and can tailor my tuition to complement what your child is learning at school. I also share regular feedback with parents and carers so you always know how your child is progressing.
