About Luis
I am a high school senior that has been on honor roll for the past three years and will make it four years once I finish senior year. I averaged a grade of 95%(11th) in honors precalculus, my lowest test score having been 86% and my highest having been 104%. I averaged a grade of 87% in honors algebra II/trigonometry(10th)and averaged a grade of 79% in honors geometry(9th). As you can see I didn't start out as the best student but over the years I continued to improve and if I can do it I know anyone can. I do not promise perfection but I promise efficiency.

My way of teaching ensures that students will be left having a liking for the math they are taking. I give real world scenarios that apply the mathematical topics I teach. From everyday usage of addition, subtraction, etc. to why trigonometry is important for engineers. A typical lesson plan will involve me asking the student what topic they need the most help in, teach them the topic, give them problems on that topic, and finally give them any final feedback I have. After what I've observed from how well the student did on the lesson, my future lesson plans will be a reflection of that. Since I am in my last year of high school but nonetheless high school, I will be able to connect easier with my students since I can relate to them as I was in their shoes not too long ago. My lessons are designed for students from elementary school, all the way to 11th grade. I do request that with a day in advance, students tell me what topic they need help with because while I am very efficient in most topics up to high school math, I do sometimes need a refresher in order to prepare for the lesson. I would not want to waste the time of the students with a topic I may not remember. Thank you for your consideration.
