About Mikayla
Growing up I was the oldest child, meaning throughout school I have to figure out learning strategies by myself. Throughout this time I discovered the various styles of learning and that not one person is the same. I am a big believer that no child is unintelligent, they just have not found the right way to learn. Figuring out one's learning style can be difficult and take time, however, I try my hardest to support students as they develop this skill.

During my lessons with my previous student, we began our sessions with quick writing. Meaning they write whatever they want for 5 minutes and we count the words to see what they scored. After that we would go through work done at school and assessments due. I mainly focused on what they were struggling with. My typical length of lessons are 1-3 hours depending on the students attention span.I am able to tutor anyone from 7 years to 17 years. My previous student was 13 and we saw significant results.
