About Lucy
I’m a fourth-year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Canterbury with a strong background in math, physics and science. Studying engineering has given me plenty of experience applying these subjects to real problems, not just memorizing formulas. I enjoy helping students understand difficult concepts in a simpler way and showing them how to approach problems logically and confidently.

I focus on making Maths, Physics and Science fun and easier to understand by breaking difficult concepts into manageable steps. Lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, whether you want help keeping up with class, understanding a difficult topic, completing practice questions, or preparing for NCEA assessments and exams. I encourage students to ask questions and focus on understanding the reasoning behind each problem rather than simply memorising formulas. Lessons are relaxed, practical and adapted to the student’s pace!
