About Aliyah
Hi! My name is Aliyah, and I’m a patient, reliable, and dedicated math tutor who enjoys helping students build confidence in their abilities. I understand that math can sometimes feel confusing or frustrating, so I create a supportive and comfortable learning environment where students can ask questions and take their time without feeling embarrassed.
I explain concepts clearly and step-by-step, and I’m always willing to go over a problem more than once or explain it in a different way. My goal is not just to help students get the right answer, but to help them truly understand the process and feel confident solving problems on their own.
I take tutoring seriously and come prepared to help each student with their individual needs. Whether you need extra support with homework, practice for a test, or help understanding a difficult math topic, I’ll be patient, encouraging, and committed to helping you improve.

I believe math becomes much easier when you understand why something works instead of just memorizing steps. My goal is to make students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace.I am a patient and encouraging tutor who takes the time to make sure students actually understand what they are learning. I explain problems step-by-step and use simple examples to make difficult topics easier to understand. If something doesn’t make sense the first time, that’s completely okay. I’m happy to explain it in a different way and go over it as many times as needed. I also encourage students to work through problems on their own so they can become more confident and independent.
We’ll start by reviewing what the student already knows and figuring out what they need help with. Then, I’ll explain the topic and work through examples with them. After practicing together, the student will try some problems independently while I provide guidance when needed. At the end, we’ll review what they learned and make sure they feel comfortable with the material.I’m patient, understanding, and I don’t make students feel bad for getting something wrong. I believe that you learn by making mistakes. I know that everyone learns differently, so I’m willing to adjust my teaching style to what works best for each student. I want students to leave each lesson feeling more confident in themselves and their math skills. I mainly tutor elementary and middle school math students who need help with homework, classwork, test preparation, or understanding specific math topics. Whether a student is struggling with a subject or simply wants extra practice, I’m here to help them learn and improve at their own pace.
