About Kage
I helped my friends and classmates with school work for my whole high school career and I helped many of them pass classes and pass AP exams. I have never officially tutored for money but I have lots of experience doing it for free :).

I'm Kage! I graduated from high school with the highest honors (Summa Cum Laude) with a 34/36 on the ACT math section. I received full college credit for 8 AP classes, including AP precalculus, Calculus AB, Statistics, AP Chem, etc. I am currently enrolled at the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, pursuing a major in Actuarial Science (comprehensive math major) with a certificate in advanced business communications. Throughout my high school career I saw time and time again teachers who struggled to explain core concepts in a way that made sense to the average students. I would watch my teacher repeat the same thing over and over hoping the students would eventually understand, when I knew exactly what to say to make that student understand. Teachers are great, but it has been a long time since they have been the ones learning, students often learn at a slower pace than the curriculum demands, and as a current student in college I understand how students learn best. I do not have any official tutoring experience yet, but my whole life I have been tutoring my friends for free :) I love the gratification of tutoring someone and hearing about how well prepared for their test they felt, it makes me feel like I'm making a real difference and helping people. I think what is most important when tutoring is to be patient and understanding with the person learning, to never make them feel stupid for not understanding something, and to clarify things in a way that makes sense to them, as everyone understands things differently. I am extremely flexible with scheduling, and I am very easy to reach as I am always checking my email as a student :) Please contact me with any other questions or to schedule a session!
