About Annaly
Hi! My name is Annaly and I'm in high school. Since I was little, my dream has been to teach at a large school or even a university. That's why, since I was 12, I've been tutoring students who struggle with math. During the pandemic, I realized I could help even more students, so I started tutoring in other subjects like History, Geography, Portuguese, Math, and English. Helping people is one of the things I love most, and that's one of the main reasons I love giving these kinds of classes. Therefore, I believe it will be a two-way street: I help you with what you struggle with, and you help me grow as a person. One of the things I've learned from teaching is that we, the teachers, learn much more from you, the students, than you do from us! You teach us to be better teachers, better people, more caring and loving, among many other things. That's it! I hope you enjoy my classes or what I've written.

I like to start my classes by creating a relaxed atmosphere, always trying to break the ice with light and sometimes even fun conversations, aiming to maintain this relaxed atmosphere until the end of the class. The goal is to make the student understand that studying and learning can—and should—be enjoyable daily activities. I usually use memorization techniques with justification and content reinforcement, such as flashcards, which help verify if the student is truly understanding what has been taught. In addition, I like and consider it very important to review past tests with the student, analyzing their mistakes and successes to see where things are going well and where improvements are needed. I also apply various other methods that are implemented later for the gradual and healthy development of the student, always aiming to increase their autonomy and confidence, until they are able to learn with self-assurance, remaining calm and seeing studying as something interesting and worth spending time on. My classes are usually for students from 1st to 8th grade. Kisses!
