About Brennan
Hi! I’m a senior at Costa Mesa High School, and I’ve always enjoyed history and learning about the stories behind different events. I’ve taken advanced history classes throughout high school, and I’ve found that I really enjoy helping other people understand the material too.
I’m pretty laid-back and easy to talk to, and I try to bring that same attitude into tutoring. I think learning is a lot easier when you feel comfortable asking questions and having a conversation instead of feeling like you’re being lectured.
When I’m not at school, I like fishing and reading. I’m excited to meet new students, help them feel more confident in history, and hopefully make the subject a little more enjoyable!

I know history can sometimes feel like you’re just expected to memorize a million dates, names, and events. My goal is to make it actually make sense.
During lessons, I’ll focus on whatever you’re having trouble with and explain it in a way that’s easy to follow. We can go over class material, work through homework, prepare for tests, review essays, or just spend extra time on a topic that hasn’t clicked yet.
I’m a high school student too, so I understand what it’s like to have a lot of schoolwork and feel stuck on a subject. I want my lessons to be relaxed and comfortable, where you can ask questions without feeling embarrassed. I’ll adjust how I teach depending on what works best for you and make sure we’re focusing on what you actually need help with.
