About Catherine
I am someone who thought I could never pursue my love of History because I could never remember dates! Then I met my secondary school History teacher and realised that I, not only adored the subject but could apply my abilities of critical thinking and debate to excel in this subject. I want all of my students to fall in love with history and understand the benefits of it in today's society. I am a Head of History in a Secondary school and also a mum to a teenage boy, so I know the importance of engaging lessons.

I believe that there is no such thing as someone not liking History, only that they have not yet found the right teacher. My lessons are an hour long and alternate between; source analysis, written tasks, discussion tasks and exam practice, tailored to the needs of each student. I have worked as a tutor to KS3 students and have worked in secondary education for 10 years. I am currently a Head of History in a secondary school. I want to take on any student! Those who are already a passionate historian and those who are yet to fall in love with the subject. All of my lessons can be tailored to students from Primary to A Level and I can adapt to the requirements of their school.
