About Freya
I am an experienced and enthusiastic flute tutor with 13+ years of teaching background, helping students from school to college level develop their musical skills and confidence. My passion for music and education motivates me to support students in their learning journey and help them achieve their full potential.
Over the years, I have trained many students, guiding them from basic techniques to confident performances. One of my proudest achievements has been seeing my students perform on stage and express themselves through music.
My teaching style is patient, clear, and flexible, focusing on important skills such as breathing control, finger placement, tone quality, and rhythm accuracy. I also make sure that lessons are engaging and enjoyable, as I believe that motivation plays a key role in learning.
I strongly believe that music has the power to build confidence, discipline, and creativity, and my goal is to inspire students to continue their musical journey with passion and dedication.

My flute teaching methodology is centered on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity to provide a structured and effective learning experience. I believe that every student can succeed with proper guidance and practice. I begin by understanding each student’s learning style and pace so I can adapt my teaching accordingly.
I motivate students by encouraging their efforts and helping them achieve small milestones, which keeps them interested. Communication helps me explain important techniques like breathing, fingering, posture, and tone production in a simple and clear way.
With integrity, I guide students step by step and ensure they build a strong foundation. I provide honest feedback and support their improvement patiently. Creativity allows me to make lessons engaging through songs, exercises, and fun activities. In addition to flute, I also teach music basics like rhythm, scales, and listening skills.
