About Jessica
From 2010-16 I was enrolled at the Academy of Fine Art in Dresden, Germany. After studying full time for six years, I graduated with full marks across the board in my Diplom (equivalent BA and MA) in Fine Art, with a specialism in Painting. This included art history and philosophy, life drawing and extensive technical anatomy classes. After this I moved to London where I studied Contemporary Art Practice (MA) for two years at the Royal College of Art, and where I currently also hold a PhD offer.
I have lectured up to postgraduate level, aided portfolio selections and interviews for BA applications, and exhibited internationally in cities including Berlin, London, Moscow, Tel Aviv and Gois.

All of my classes are specifically tailored to the interests and needs of the student or class. To that end, I will always begin by speaking directly with you, to ascertain what is is that you want to achieve and where your interests lie. The tailoring will continue throughout the lessons, as I will always take into account the previous lesson and anything that may have arisen that required finer tuning or further attention.
I am dedicated to helping you achieve your goals, and I have spent the last 10 years teaching art from year 7 through to MA, including portfolio preparation and application advice for art schools and foundation courses, GCSE and ALevel mentoring, and classes for those who want to learn certain artistic skills in their own time. These may include how to draw, how to use oil paint, how to use and mix colour, portraiture, figurative work, how to compile a portfolio, and art history and contemporary art context.
I teach art with enthusiasm and a smile and have my own art practice running concurrently. In many ways, art is about finding your way of self-articulation, and the exploration of this should be both highly enjoyable and rewarding.
