About Lucy
I'm a friendly, enthusiastic, and patient tutor who has recently completed my GCSEs and is predicted Grade 7s in both English Language and English Literature. I enjoy helping younger students build their confidence and make learning English enjoyable. I understand that learning can sometimes feel overwhelming, so I focus on helping students feel confident in their abilities while improving their reading, writing, spelling, grammar, and comprehension skills.

My lessons are designed for primary school students who want to improve their English reading, writing, spelling, grammar, and comprehension. I aim to create a friendly and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
Every lesson is tailored to the student's needs. I begin by identifying the areas they find most challenging, then use a mixture of explanations, worked examples, interactive activities, and practice questions to build their confidence. I believe that regular encouragement and positive feedback help students enjoy learning and make steady progress. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes. During this time, we review previous learning, introduce a new skill or topic, practise together, and finish with a short recap to reinforce what has been learnt.
As I have recently completed my GCSEs and am predicted Grade 7s in both English Language and English Literature, I understand the school curriculum and can explain concepts in a simple, relatable way. Although I am at the beginning of my tutoring journey, I am enthusiastic, patient, well-prepared, and committed to helping every student reach their full potential.
