About Andrew
Originally from New Zealand, Andrew Kelly is a freelance violinist currently based in London. Developing a keen ear from listening to his older siblings play the piano as a kid, he began learning the violin at age 5.
Having studied at the Royal College of Music and The University of Auckland, Andrew embraces all styles of music from Classical, jazz and folk music and was recently featured on the album ‘Justice’ by well-known Reggae musician Costafari.
Other highlights past and present include being the youngest member of the NZSO National Youth Orchestra at the age of 15 and playing with the Orpheus Sinfonia as a member of their Fellowship Scheme. This year he plans on continuing his freelance work as well as auditioning for the major orchestras in London.
