About Alex
While I am still a high school student, I have done unpaid and informal tutoring for years. I have always strived to take the most advance English courses I can, and am currently in AP English Lang and Comp. I also strive to improve my English skills outside of the class, through creative writing and frequent reading, as well as in clubs, such as the National English Honors Society, the Creative Writing Club, and my schools award-winning literary magazine. I hope to build my reputation in teaching through tutoring, and eventually turn teaching English into my full time profession.

Language arts have always been a passion of mine, and I have plenty of experience helping friends and family with grammar, rhetorical analysis, creative writing, poetry analysis, reading comprehension, and more. I hope to gain some financial freedom and formal experience through tutoring, as well as help people with the subject I love so dearly. I cover English language arts up to grade ten. I speak both English and Mandarin, and have some experience, while tutoring my sister, working with children with learning difficulties. I am a firm believer that anyone can learn anything if they set their mind to it, and have a good teacher. I prefer to focus on application, though I can help with memorization, and enjoy creative and interactive approaches to learning. I hope that I can help you with your learning!
