About Alre
Hello! My name is Alré, and I am a TEFL-certified English and Afrikaans teacher from South Africa.
I am passionate about helping students develop confidence and fluency in languages through engaging, student-focused lessons. Rather than simply teaching from a textbook, I focus on creating productive lessons that encourage meaningful conversation, practical language use, and real communication.
My teaching style is supportive, patient, and adaptable. I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to suit each learner's goals, pace, and interests. Whether you are looking to improve your speaking, writing, pronunciation, grammar, or overall fluency, I will guide you step by step in a comfortable and engaging environment.
I speak with a clear, neutral accent using British English pronunciation and spelling, and I aim to help students communicate naturally and confidently in real-life situations.

Hi there,
As a person who is deeply passionate about languages and learning, I love introducing language in a way that is fun, rather than what feels like a chore. I love engaging my students and creating a personal connection to that language.
I am a native speaker of both English and Afrikaans, so those are the languages I will be able to teach. I hold a certified TEFL/TESOL certificate.
I look at making my lessons fun and interactive. I involve personal scenarios, educational games, and patient teaching. My lessons usually involve warmers, presentation, practice, production, and coolers. That said, I will also adapt to the class and students when needed.
My lessons are aimed at Beginner to Intermediate (A1- B1). My lessons are clear and structured. I can focus on basic grammar, vocabulary, speaking, and writing.
