About Graham
I am a passionate flute tutor dedicated to helping students develop musical skill, creativity, and confidence. My teaching combines mentorship, accountability, and critical thinking to guide students effectively. I focus on tone, phrasing, rhythm, and breath control while nurturing expressive musicality. I also include music theory, sight-reading, and ear training to strengthen overall musicianship. Creativity is encouraged through improvisation, composition, and musical storytelling. My flute teaching philosophy is all about creativity, growth, and guidance. I believe that learning music should help students express themselves and think deeply. I act as a mentor who supports and challenges students in equal measure. Accountability helps keep lessons organized and progress steady. I encourage each learner to take responsibility for their practice and improvement.
My lessons mix structure and creativity to make learning enjoyable. I focus on building tone, rhythm, and technique through interactive exercises. Students learn how to listen, analyze, and reflect on their playing. I include music theory, rhythm drills, and improvisation to strengthen understanding.
