I am a university student with lots of experience in theatre and drama courses as well as performance.
My lessons are aimed at 16 and above and go up to a degree level. Our lessons would always start with a warm-up and end with a cool-down, and would range from highly practical to theory based depending on the practitioner and style we'll study.
My philosophy is "Be great and create on purpose. " I believe whether performance is a hobby or a career if you approach the practice purposefully with, specific intentions you will get improve in almost anything.
I am relatively new to tutoring and want to gain experience in the field but from 3 years of auditioning and being tutored myself, I know a lot of ways an audition can go right and how they can go wrong. The student and I will be working on body language; how to be present in the audition room and make an impression.
My teaching method is a visual/kinetic style of learning. I approach topics but running workshops that allow students to work together or move in an open space (if possible).

Having worked in the industry for years with some of the leading teachers, directors and actors in the business, I know many tricks of the trade to save, heal, restore, or hone a musical theatre talent. I have worked in the youth talent sector through to professional advisory.
I approach each topic depending on my student(s) and how they best learn. I appreciate that there are many different ways to learn and that people process information differently. I take my time to know the student and their learning style so I can adjust my sessions accordingly.
Play, in performance you can never not have too much fun. It's my aim to deliver work that will allow the student to relax and perform to the best of their ability. I draw from leqocs clowning methods when it comes to devising, having fun, improvising and taking things on at your own pace with a guiding hand.
My teaching method is to support the student as best as possible as everyone learns differently. Each desired outcome required a different method, so I'm quite flexible in that way. I make things practical whenever I can and break things down, modernise classical text so it's easier to understand. I'm enthusiastic, patient and hardworking so will push students to reach their potential.
