I always provide a power-point presentation covering anatomy, physiology, Cautions and Problem Solving. This is then followed by the practical lesson. My method is to first get to know the student(s) and their current level. Once I have grasped this we can then identify the goals that they wish to achieve. This will help me to set out SMART based targets and assist with the development throughout.
My method of teaching is very hands on as I love students to play and practice for the majority of the lesson. Practicing and playing as frequently as possible is the best way to learn quickly. I also encourage students to take something away to practice and perfect for the next lesson.
