I'm an architectural engineering student at Heriot-Watt university - I love maths and have helped younger students with their studies throughout my high school years. I teach using problem-based learning and try to tailor each lesson to individuals' needs.
When I teach the main goal is to build confidence and for students to retain what is taught over time. In lessons I would start with a selection of questions based on what we have covered recently in order to master and embed them.
I assess and tailor each lesson based on what my student needs. Firstly, I assess what they need help with and design a teaching plan. I teach topics that they require help with and pick up topics that I feel they need to work on. I teach according to their syllabus with regular assessments. I set homework every week and go over any questions they need help on.
I believe that communication is key. One must build a strong rapport with their students whilst also ensuring that they go home and practice the material they want to teach their students. Most of the time it is a lack of confidence and practice that hold a student back from achieving their potential. I believe in partnering up with my students to ensure we tackle the subjects as a team.
My teaching method revolves around confidence boosting through quizzes, questioning and student participation. People learn best through interaction, rather than the teacher constantly droning. Through this I will aim to deliver concrete teaching methods that allows the student to question and formulate their own answers.
My methodology for teaching routes from the experience I gained while working as Learning Mentor for City Year. As I guide students through their topics of struggle, I'll attempt to understand how and why certain areas get them caught up, as to gain their perspective of the subject. Through this method we're able to progress through the topic together, whilst at a pace they can comfortably work at.
I am able to tutor GCSE and A-level Students in both Maths and Economics. My teaching methods include one to one lessons through video chats, however if the student lives in close proximity I am willing and able to meet for private lessons. As well as this I am open to questions regarding any topic at any time, providing undeniable support.
My teaching methodology is very simple, I will always ensure that students are able to understand the basic principles for a given topic. To achieve this one should understand the children's ability and their grasping skills. As a teacher I should give more number of examples so that they are able to understand the concept crystal clear.
Hi there! I am a 21 year old Irish tutor, who has studied Maths to GCSE, and obtained grade A*. I tutor to Primary school students in order to prepare for transfer tests, and to secondary school students, preferably up to age 15.
I am at university studying Biology but I have taken maths all the way through school and into university modules as well. I can teach Maths from primary school all the way through to AS-level without issue. Depending on what help you want I can teach topics in order to help you understand or I can work through practice questions with you until you grasp a topic fully.
I am a hardworking student in year 12 who enjoys learning. I am patient and well organised. Science and Maths are my favourite subjects and I am hoping to study Natural Sciences at university level. I believe that everyone has the capacity to learn any subject. It is my desire to build confidence in any individual who wishes to study any subject they have an interest in or want help with.

I taught A Level Maths and Further Maths at Paston Sixth Form College in Norfolk for over 20 years. I'm calm and good-humoured at all times, and I aim to strike up a rapport with you and every student; I also hope to challenge you when that is what is needed. I love maths, and I hope that I can help you love it too.
Give lessons to younger guys trying to get a grip of maths, and older guys who need fine tuning to boost their grades. Tend to move slowly, but finish with a test and ensure through that you are comfortable. Will never move too quickly for you.
I customise my teaching based upon my student's needs. While some students like me to go through theory more extensively before jumping into questions, others like to practice exam questions together. I create worksheets and solve the problems my students need help with before each session, and try to hone in as much as I can on their areas of difficulty.
A friendly and worry-free environment to practice the most confusing aspects of GCSE or A-level maths. Whether it's numbers, shapes, or algebra that confuse you most, we'll work through it together and help you build the skills and confidence to tackle complex problems in the future.

I have just finished my A-levels and having been a tutor for the new Maths GCSE fro the past two years I am very familiar with this syllabus as well, I am currently studying Maths at Warwick. My tutoring method varies from student to student to suit their learning method.
My teaching methods are methodical and laid out, as i like to keep things organised and neat. My approach is to try and find a way for you to understand the topic in your own way, as everyone learns differently and we need to work on approaching the most conventional way for you to learn the curriculum.
16 year old currently studying A Level Maths, Further Maths and Computing at the University Technical College Norfolk. I achieved an A* in GCSE maths and an A in Further Maths. I will teach with examples, worksheets and past papers.
I find weaknesses through discussing topics to find where the lack of understanding is and write my own questions that directly target the personal weakness. I find this is a very personal method that helps me to learn the best methods for the student and also helps their weaknesses directly.
My teaching is based around your needs, I am here to help you understand and work out any problems you may have.
Having just sat the new GCSE's, I am well aware of the methods and thought processes that pupils will use during exams. This therefore means that I will be able to explain methods of solving GCSE style questions in ways that people will easily be able to understand from a student's perspective.
