My approach to tutoring is determined on a student-by-student basis, using the method that best suits each individual learner. For every learner I try to make my lessons fun and interactive, as I believe learning is most effective when the learner is fully engaged.
My teaching method is rather simple, in my opinion knowing the theory for anything is at the base of understanding further concepts hence why the very first focus will be on tightly gripping the fundamental knowledge, I can work with visual learners and my method is based on talking, listening and writing.
GCSE through to A Level, I provide tutoring for maths, chemistry and biology. Within these subjects, there may be topics you do not understand which I am ready to explain and cover with you. I can also help with homework and provide you with tips on how to revise for upcoming exams.
My teaching style will vary considerably, depending upon the topic, the nature of the material, the needs and the abilities of the student(s). It can range from practical, hands-on use of resources, to demonstration, interactive ICT methods or detailed, repeated practice to embed knowledge and skills.
My teaching method is through practice. Mathematics is all about practice. As a bilingual speaker, I understand that every student have a different approach to learning. I aim to help students of all capabilities to reach their full potential by sharing my knowledge in the best possible way.
I believe that communication is key. One must build a strong rapport with their students whilst also ensuring that they go home and practice the material they want to teach their students. Most of the time it is a lack of confidence and practice that hold a student back from achieving their potential. I believe in partnering up with my students to ensure we tackle the subjects as a team.
My teaching method revolves around confidence boosting through quizzes, questioning and student participation. People learn best through interaction, rather than the teacher constantly droning. Through this I will aim to deliver concrete teaching methods that allows the student to question and formulate their own answers.
I am able to tutor GCSE and A-level Students in both Maths and Economics. My teaching methods include one to one lessons through video chats, however if the student lives in close proximity I am willing and able to meet for private lessons. As well as this I am open to questions regarding any topic at any time, providing undeniable support.
I have a background in Law that has equipped me with a good analytical mind able to break down complex Math into its simple components. Learning should be fun - I am not afraid to be humourous, though sometimes Math humour is hard to come by.
I’m aiming my tutoring at year 7-9 but wouldn’t mind anything up to year 11 or any younger than stated. I like to keep sessions short as I appreciate that to some maths isn’t the funniest subject but I’d hope that my enthusiasm towards the subject will reflect in the lessons.
My teaching strategy incorporates the preferred teaching methods of my students, as well as my favoured and most effective forms of teaching - this includes using memory games - creating a competitive environment. In doing so, the goal is to get the student to strive to be more academically capable than they were yesterday.
I would base my lesson on understanding the reason behind every step undertaken to solve a math problem cause I believe that the best way to learn maths is the reason behind doing it.
I can design worksheets for specific topics that a student may need help with or work through a practice exam with them if the topic is understood but more practice is needed. If the topic is not understood I can run a mini tutorial on the topic explaining the basics and teaching through examples.
My methodology for teaching routes from the experience I gained while working as Learning Mentor for City Year. As I guide students through their topics of struggle, I'll attempt to understand how and why certain areas get them caught up, as to gain their perspective of the subject. Through this method we're able to progress through the topic together, whilst at a pace they can comfortably work at.

I am a hardworking student in year 12 who enjoys learning. I am patient and well organised. Science and Maths are my favourite subjects and I am hoping to study Natural Sciences at university level. I'm calm and good-humoured at all times, and I aim to strike up a rapport with you and every student; I also hope to challenge you when that is what is needed. I love maths, and I hope that I can help you love it too.
My teaching method is not so hard, I teach as easy that even a IV or V class students can learn matriculation level chemistry and trigonometric. If someone can't get me then i provide extra classes at their own cost to make them equal to others.
Give lessons to younger guys trying to get a grip of maths, and older guys who need fine tuning to boost their grades. Tend to move slowly, but finish with a test and ensure through that you are comfortable. Will never move too quickly for you.
I customise my teaching based upon my student's needs. While some students like me to go through theory more extensively before jumping into questions, others like to practice exam questions together. I create worksheets and solve the problems my students need help with before each session, and try to hone in as much as I can on their areas of difficulty.
My teaching method is that I ask the student how they think it should be done and try their method then if that works keep with that but if they are having trouble then I will try the way I was taught.
I assess and tailor each lesson based on what my student needs. Firstly, I assess what they need help with and design a teaching plan. I teach topics that they require help with and pick up topics that I feel they need to work on. I teach according to their syllabus with regular assessments. I set homework every week and go over any questions they need help on.
A friendly and worry-free environment to practice the most confusing aspects of GCSE or A-level maths. Whether it's numbers, shapes, or algebra that confuse you most, we'll work through it together and help you build the skills and confidence to tackle complex problems in the future.
My teaching is quite unorthodox but rewarding. My teaching is based on focusing on getting students to grasp the concept before getting them to know the answer because it is a small step from understanding the mathematical concepts to getting A-stars in Maths.
