I base my classes on what you want to learn but always have extra on topics that I believe are the hardest such as Homeostasis for Biology and Titrations/Acids and Bases for Chemistry. I believe in diagrams and flashcards especially.
My teaching methods are based on my previous tutoring experiences and has also been influenced by the tutorials I received at university. I prefer to plan at least one lesson in advance - this allows you to feel prepared and we can get straight into the subject matter. Ideally, I like to create a mini programme of all the topics you would like to cover in order to focus our time effectively.
Qualified Teacher of Science providing tuition in: Biology - To undergraduate degree Chemistry and Physics - To GCSE level I am friendly and upbeat, tailoring teaching styles to individual needs and requirements. I generally find that one to one tuition can allow alternative explanations to be provided to help maximise pupil understanding.
I am a university student currently studying Equine Sports Therapy, I give lessons up to and including BTEC level 3. During lessons I prefer to have discussions with students as opposed to me lecturing at them for a solid hour. I am patient, attentive and talkative and believe in engaging with my students as much as possible.
I am a current practising RVN with a certificate in emergency and critical care. As a clinical coach and a veterinary nursing degree holder I can relate to the academic struggles of the future RVN’s. I can assist with NPL queries and provide 1 on 1 help in all VN subject areas.
My teaching methods depend on the student. Everyone learns in different ways and it's best to see which method suits each individual. I am very enthusiastic about my subject and feel I can explain quite complicated topics in an interesting and easy to understand way.
I graduated Witha biology degree almost 13 years ago having been interested in science for as little my as I remember. I then took up a career in finanance but have decided I would like to get back into science and helping others learn.
I am currently studying for my PhD in Psychological Medicine. I graduated last year with a First Class Pharmacology degree from Newcastle University and have experience working in a variety of laboratories. I received 11 A*s in my GCSEs and 2 A*s (Maths, Chemistry) and 3 As (Biology, Psychology, French) in my A-levels.
I gained a BSC Hons in Biology from York University and completed my P.G.C.E at Oxford University. I also have a Masters in Education through the Open University which I studied while I taught Science in secondary school for 7 years. I taught Biology up to A Level and both Physics and Chemistry to G.C.S.
Although every student is individual, I believe the best way to teach is by first explaining and then giving them something to work through themselves. This is more efficient than just talking to them as it allows them to think for themselves.
I have a degree in Medical Science with Professional Training Year from the University of Exeter . I am offering sessions in Biology and Chemistry from GCSEs to A levels. My sessions would start off by identifying gaps in your knowledge. After this is done I plan to use interactive resources such as videos and mind maps to help you fill these gaps.
My teaching method is based around maximising learning efficiency. Concepts are taught in a straightforward manner including only relevant knowledge to ensure your understanding is suited to the needs of the A level exam. Though similar to a lecture style, I encourage discussion and questions during lessons to allow me to adapt my teaching to ensure you are confident with the material.
I aim to find the areas you are struggling with and improve them through multiple teaching techniques including interactive tasks, verbal communication, written communication and practice exam work
I have completed a Biomedical Sciences degree and am now studying a dentistry degree. I understand how difficult the subject of biology can be at any level, and so my aim is to first help generate a basic understanding of biology and then help you further develop this knowledge. I can adapt my teaching methods to your needs and how you prefer to learn.
Hello, I'm a third year Biomedical science student. A typical lesson plan would start with going over the planned area to find out what is already known, and areas which could do with improving. Then with the use of visual aids etc, improve those areas. The lesson would then end with linking the subject to possible exam questions to ensure the learning can be applied.
I have given lessons to GCSE level student and KS2 and KS3 students. My students bring workbooks with them and we go through together each topics focusing on areas they struggle with in school.
As a current student, I understand that no two individuals are the same and therefore nobody has an identical study pattern. Knowing this the first thing I aim to do with each student is to identify their best method of studying. Once this is established I design each lesson specifically to meet the needs of the students. Together we set goals and will achieve them within a specific time frame.
My biology lessons will be based on understanding the content and not just remembering facts which is a big mistake many people make when learning biology since everything is connected in the subject from cell structures to division to natural selection. My teaching methods will vary and adapt depending on the student.
I tailor make my approach to suit each individual.
Hi! I am a young and enthusiastic science tutor, who would love to help students in any science subject from KS3 to KS5. I believe that it is much easier, and more interesting, to really understand science, rather than simply trying to learn it, and this reflects in my teaching style.
I wish to teach those who are under confident in science or would like to know more about animal welfare and management. I have an understanding, patient and fun approach. I am an open minded tutor who likes to focus on recent research.
My teaching method is usually exam related where in the initial classes I try to clear any subject related doubts that the student present themselves with after which I would focus on questions with frequent Mock examinations to improve the students understanding.
My teaching method is a rather reductionist, as I like to approach a problem by breaking it down into its smallest possible parts and resolving those in order to better understand a concept or topic. I believe in visual learning, and incorporate mind-maps and videos to aid understanding.
I have a BSc in Biomedical science from St. George's, University of London. I also have an MSc in Project and enterprise management from UCL. I offer Science lessons to A-Level and GCSE level and Maths and English to Primary school students. Lessons are tailored to the individuals needs.
