I am very structured when it comes to learning. I will first make sure we have a learning structure in place to cover all topics in a sensible and memorable order. I will tailor lessons to your learning style, but I find that drawings, diagrams, mind maps, acronyms and making associations between content and real-life make things easier to remember.
My teaching method is to approach the topics/sub-topics the student is struggling with and help them with those to then go through the rest that they’re good with to enable a good balance.

I am a Natural Sciences graduate from the University of Durham with over 6 years of teaching experience. I am a fun and patient tutor. I enjoy tailoring lessons to each student's interests.
I keen to build on knowledge that my students already have, I would usually start a lesson by asking them to write down everything they know about a topic and then developig this. I believe this is a good technique to develop a student’s confidence.
I enjoy hands on teaching with lots of visual cues.
I believe everyone learns differently, but I think all students’ learning benefits greatly from identifying areas of the syllabus which need further attention, and improving knowledge of these areas through group discussion in which feedback can be both given and received, independent activities based on this feedback, and practising their exam technique using past papers.

Teaching is a conversation between individuals, information disperses down whatever information gradients there may be from one individual to another which may go in either direction. If You're struggling its because you're on the way to a more comprehensive understanding, spending just a few more minutes on talking about a problem can solve any roadblock you're hitting.
