I am very structured when it comes to learning. I will first make sure we have a learning structure in place to cover all topics in a sensible and memorable order. I will tailor lessons to your learning style, but I find that drawings, diagrams, mind maps, acronyms and making associations between content and real-life make things easier to remember.
My teaching method is to approach the topics/sub-topics the student is struggling with and help them with those to then go through the rest that they’re good with to enable a good balance.
I give lessons to students in primary and secondary education, mainly to those who are studying KS3 biology. I prefer to look over what the student has been learning at school and from that, explain to them anything that they have been learning that they do not understand.
Graduating from the University of Durham with a BSc in Zoology. Bring an enthusiastic and supportive view to science and maths, subjects which some students struggle to relate to. Happy to help students wanting to reach a grade boundary, and also strive for excellence.
My approach to teaching is to find the connexions between the syllabus and the individual interests of the students. I will cover the whole area that the syllabus demands. My preferred teaching format is in a tutorial or seminar setting.
As gaining a science qualification has increased in importance, taking Biology seems like the easy route until you come across the jargon of the subject which can feel like learning a new language as well! Whether it is GCSE, AS/A2 or Nursing and Medical, I have proven skills to demystify the subject and enable you to have confidence in the language and concepts involved in Biology or Anatomy and...
I base my teaching around the subject areas which the student is struggling in, once we’ve looked over and consolidated this learning, I focus strongly on exam technique and exam style questions, as these skills are vital.
I am a former scientist with a PhD in molecular genetics I have been teaching for 6 years from key stage 3 - 5 (not KS5 chemistry) I work by identifying weaknesses and working on those, I also use repetition a lot to ensure the knowledge is embedded.
I am a second year Biomedical science student and enthusiastic Tutor. I base my teaching style and methods around the students needs so I am able to adapt to any style of teaching an individual may require. I tend to use a lot of past paper exam questions as a way to solidify that a student has learnt a concept after explaining it to them.
I am a 25 yo male PhD student (Doctoral Researcher) in Pharmacy and biomolecular sciences, with a high BSc in biotechnology and high MSc in biotechnology bioprocessing and business management. I have industrial research experience, whereby I worked in a plant biotech research lab in Madrid for one year.
My teaching method is covering an overview of the subject while trying to encourage critical thinking on the topic. This will be done by frequently testing their knowledge and asking questions further than just a yes or no answer.
I have recently graduated from King's College London with a BSc degree in Medical Physiology with First class Honors, I have been a top student with great performance and hard work. As well as one of the top ten students in my country (Libya) in high school. I conducted my final year project with British Heart Foundation in their Cardiology department laboratories in London.
