I always endeavour to explain my workings clearly, giving hints in order for the tutee to obtain the answer themselves. This allows them to fully understand and learn the method to answer a certain question, which is specifically with maths.
I have achieved an A* in A-level Maths. My teaching method is helping one develop the technique to derive the answer and understanding the basic principles. This often makes it easier to apply various different principles to a complex problem.
I can help by going through homework and holiday work or whatever is necessary. I can find books or work with whatever material the children have.
My method of teaching is to engage students in the learning process by: Asking what problems they are having trouble with Work on the underpinning of said problem before we attempt it. Go through a couple of examples, while explaining the process and interacting with the student.
I'm bilingual in English and Chinese. I give lessons to A-level students in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. My teaching method is to guide students and encourage independence and creativity. I am very patient and a good listener. I focus on exploiting students' strength and potential and build up a plan that is personal to individuals.
I will make maths easy for you because I know the easy methods to work through maths. I give lessons to students in my maths class and help them get through things they don’t understand. I will make every bit of maths understandable to you and I will get to know how you learn in order for you to learn in the most efficient way.
I like to make the lessons fun, and exciting. I tailor the lessons to the child's ability so that they are challenged and able to move on. I always recap what we have covered in the previous lesson to ensure that is embedded.
I will base my teaching methods on the academic level of the tutee, I am patient, I can be formal or informal depending on how you want to be taught. I can answer any question within the Maths and Physics range.
I am a former secondary school maths teacher, so am most suited to those pupils working towards their GCSEs. I aim to relate as many of the topics as possible to real life situations before teaching helpful ways to remember the steps required to solve the mathematical problem.
I approach each topic by explaining what it is, then explaining how to go about it. I’ll ask you to explain to me how to do it as well. This helps you gain an understanding of what it is you are doing instead of just reciting a formula.
I like to go through the learning objectives of a lesson, any key words, definitions, or formula that will need to be learnt. Then, I would move on to an explanation of the lesson at hand, and follow through with a few worked through examples. Once the student is confident, I would continue by setting a few questions, with varied difficulty.
I am available to teach Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Economics at A-Level having achieved A* at A-Level in all of these subjects. I can teach GCSEs in most subjects having achieved 10A*'s and am also willing to tutor primary school students. I am also happy to help with tutoring for an Oxbridge admission.
I am a recently graduated Dentist (BDS) which exceptional skills in mathematics. I obtained A*s in Chemistry, Physics and Maths at A-level and would have done Further Maths if there was availability in my timetable. I also obtained an A in A-level Biology.
I am a University Chemistry student and a mother which makes my teaching techniques particularly well catered to both younger children and older students. I have 4 A-levels in Chemistry, Biology, Maths and Further Maths and AS knowledge of physics so would feel happy giving lessons in all of these subjects up to A level.
I have studied maths and it’s teaching with the open university alongside children with special education needs courses. I then received first class@ number accreditation from Edgehill university, a maths teaching course of which I had 3 years practical experience teaching to year 2 children.
I enjoy teaching one-to-one and in small groups as it allows me to put greater focus into the individual needs of each learner and through this I usually see rapid progression. I tailor make make my lessons to suit individual needs and I prefer to keeps my lessons as varied, active, fun and interesting as possible. I do this by combining memory games, short activities and practical tasks.
Quite simply i am flexible in my lessons. I will provide simple explanations to anything my students are struggling with, along with various tips and tricks to help my students achieve highly. Various activities will include a range of questions from easy to hard, past papers, going through questions together.
My teaching methods make learning simple and fun and I have many successes with students who have severe blocks about maths and a lack of confidence in their ability. I use resources that are interactive and encourage learning and development in small steps.
When teaching, I target areas of concern for students, as well as tackling tough exam questions and learning helpful tricks for the exam.
Online or at home teaching. KS1-KS4 tutoring in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology All questions provided with full marking provided to allow you to work out where your knowledge gaps are. Free supplemental access to tutor outside of tuition hours by texting pictures of problems questions.
I personally am a kinesthetic learner, so my usual teaching method is using real life situations or applications, but depending on the learner can adapt per need. e.g. basic maths skills for division, using a group of physical items (i.e a pack of biscuits) to make into divisible piles to show a physical representation of the problem.
I consider myself to be very passionate, taking sciences and maths very seriously, and would put maximum enthusiasm into transferring my knowledge those that require it. Despite this I would be very respectful and not place unwanted expectations or pressure on anyone seeking my help.
I approach topics my student finds difficult by using a whiteboard to visually draw out a step by step method. After teaching a method, I will then work through a number of exemplar questions with them until they feel confident to approach similar questions on their own.
I am a second year Biomedical science student and enthusiastic Tutor. I base my teaching style and methods around the students needs so I am able to adapt to any style of teaching an individual may require. I'm 16 years old and will be teaching you all the things you need to know on how to achieve grades 4-9 from the basics up . Always had a passion for maths and have been nicknamed the human calculator for my mental maths skills.
I am a PhD student at the university of Sussex & I also have a first class MMath degree from Sussex. I give one-on-one lessons to students studying mathematics and statistics at all levels (I have a clear DBS check). If you are interested in having lessons with me, I will usually ask for a list of topics you are having the most difficultly with.
My teaching method is through clear and proper explanation no concept is ever too complex for someone to grasp. And then practice on top of that will always make perfect.
I believe that people learn best when they feel comfortable and know they can trust their teachers, this is why I believe my friendly and compassionate style of teaching works very well, especially with the younger children who struggle in large classes
I'm a Masters student and i give my lessons to anyone at all. The technique I use in teaching is I go through basic lessons with you based on the topic you have requested and then i build up on it gradually to make sure you understand every bit of it. I take questions while teaching and give assignment on a regular basis to ascertain some feedback.
My teaching method is based around getting the best out of my students by adapting to their strengths and weaknesses. When studying i realised I learn best through a mixture of passive learning through videos and tutorials and then actively applying these techniques by doing practice test papers and questions.
