I base my method of teaching entirely around the student, I first identify how the student learns and understands content best and then explain, go through and tutor the student acvcordingly to make sure the student not only learns the content, but understands it too.
I base my work on patience and passion using calm and soothing methods like rewriting in different fonts etc , however being from a big family I can tolerate those who struggle
I tutor up to A level biology. Your first lesson will be an assessment of your learning needs and all subsequent lessons will be based on, both this assessment and through discussion. All lessons will be held at students home or at a suitable venue.
I believe all students have the potential to achieve great things, if given the opportunity. As a tutor, my aim is to develop an understanding in the first session of what the student requires, and subsequently to deliver a tailored service to ensure the tutee can achieve their maximum potential.
Hi! I'm a college leaver, with A Levels in Physics, Chemistry, Biology. I prefer tutoring 1:1 or with a small group. I usually use PowerPoint presentations, but I like talking to them more and using videos, books etc. My teaching methods start of with knowing your strengths and weaknesses (as any good educator would) and acting on them.
Hi! I have recently graduated from the University of Cambridge with a 2i in Natural Sciences (Genetics). I'm looking to provide lessons in Biology for GCSE, AS and A Level. I will plan each lesson to include a range of activities including practicing exam-style questions, flashcards and diagrams, making it as interactive as possible and tailoring it to the student’s preferred learning style.
Will give lessons focusing on the more human aspects of Biology, tailored to the specific needs of the pupil, lessons are based around my accumulated knowledge and with help from my own resources. Will give lessons which will broaden the understanding of Biology and with past experience aide in exam preparation.
I believe that we learn by teaching others. I teach my chidren and then give them the opportunity to explain the concepts back to me to ensure that they understand everything to an exceptional level. I use diagrams on both paper and white boards, and I use real life examples to allow the students to relate to the work.
I am a 2nd year Pharmacy student with A-levels in Biology, Psychology and Sociology aswell as an AS-level in Use of Maths and an Access to Higher Education Diploma in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Am flexible and friendly tutor, who would love to teach and feel that students understand fully. I always try hard to make sure students achieve their targets with a full understanding of the subject. I would like to use a variety of visual aids during my teaching, I make it interesting and practical in nature. I apply different teaching methods based on the need and ability of the students.
I like to assess the individual needs of each potential learner as no one method suits everyone! Hard work pays
I am a medical student. I have developed the ability to communicate complex ideas simply, and have helped children advance from a GCSE / A-level grade D/E to an A/A* grade in a matter of few months in methods that are specific to an individuals own needs.
My teaching methods vary, from teaching perfect exam techniques, and providing extremely helpful revision material.
I have over twenty years of experience in teaching, lecturing and tutoring Biology in classroon, college and home.
I approach the student by asking what the already know about the subject and asking them to explain it briefly and find out what technique is easier for them to revise and remember the specific subjects for example if the student finds it easier to have flash card or a mind map then they can jot ideas down on flash cards or a blank piece of A3 with colours if that helps them remember it easier
Hello! I graduated with a First class degree in B.Sc (Hons) Biochemistry from the University of Manchester and studied for a doctorate in Biophysics for one year. I have a passion for teaching and sharing my knowledge of science and am invested in the success of my students. My teaching approach is open and communicative, tailored to your aims as a student.
I base my lessons on a pre-evaluation of the student current knowledge to make emphasis on the hot spots to develop and the ones already known that require an in-dept knowledge. According to the subject and objectives I make a mix of lecturing and hands-on labs, tests are related to static knowledge and think out-of-the-box questions or assignments.
I want to be a tutor because academics is one of my strong suits, and good grades come easily to me. However, not everyone is as strong in that area, some people are better at theatre, or music, or sports. I give the lesson to primary secondary and GCSE level students.
I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Manchester and I am able to teach biology/chemistry/maths to A level standard and biology to degree level. As someone who has followed a career in scientific research I enjoy sharing my life experience to inspire others to follow a career in science.
I believe that hard work = great results! I change my teaching methodology depending on the style of teaching the student works best at. Repetition is key.
I am a Professional Science Tutor with a plethora of experience. I am also a Biomedical Scientist specialising in Microbiology. I tutor Sciences at All Levels including the all new GCSE Grade 1-9 syllabus across all exam boards. I am also the co-founder of an Afterschool, Homework and Tuition Club where along with my partner I help children of varied ages with any subjects they struggle in.
I have a BSc in Biomedical Sciences and just completed my MSc in Global Health. I have found that teaching in the sciences can be dry and uninteresting but I really believe that it can be a fascinating and fun subject. My specialty subjects are Biology and Maths, but I am also comfortable teaching chemistry up to GCSE level.
Able to travel to you, I provide high-quality, exam relevant teaching for young people in the field of Biology. My services cover from Primary education to A-level, which I myself received an A grade in. I teach in a direct, efficient manner to ensure the student UNDERSTANDS the topic, rather than simply being able to answer questions.
I am a 4th year Medical Student studying at the University of Manchester. I am a warm and encouraging teacher who is able to tutor biology, chemistry and/or physics, and provide advice concerning exam revision techniques and on applying to university. I have a current enhanced DBS check certificate, and have an upper second class BSc (hons) Medicine from the University of St Andrews.
I base my classes on students' preferences and the content of the lessons are adjustable if there's an exam coming or if they want to learn a particular topic first/last. Physiology can also be included to the lessons if the student wants to. However, to give you a general idea of my methodology: -The scheme I follow for the beginners is usually either system or organ based.
Teaching will focus on students understanding and improving their confidence with the topic by giving them practical examples, and basically making the subject more available to them.
I am able to teach students up to A-level standard in Biology and Chemistry. I not only took these myself, but also continued to further my education in these subjects during my Dentistry degree, that I am currently studying for, at the University of Manchester. As well as these sciences I also studied Geography and so have a vast knowledge of current case studies and the theory behind these.
I am involved in peer-mentoring at University, teaching first-year biological sciences students. I prefer to avoid a teacher-student dynamic and will start lessons by asking what problems or difficulties the student has, and then addressing the problems throughout the lesson.
I am currently studying Dentistry at the University of Manchester and I am able to teach biology/chemistry to A level standard as I have done these A levels as well as carried them on at University. I am able to teach medical sciences as part of my degree.
Me being a professional biotechnologist at the university of Salford, would love to share my knowledge to people who are really interested in the field of biotechnology and biology. By learning biotechnology, i am sure, that you can help humanity.
