My lessons aim to be fairly casual and conversational. I will ask in advance what topics the student would like to cover, and will cover these topics in lessons using PowerPoints and practice questions. Students should be prepared to ask questions about what they do not understand during the lesson.
Sometimes a different explanation of a core concept is all that a student needs, so I like to go through these core concepts from a base level into the more complex higher level stuff ensuring the student understands every step.
My approach is to start with the problem area you want to work on together. We will look at various methods and solutions to the problem. Once you are confident in the knowledge of that area, we will move on to focusing on a variety of exam questions you might face, turning an area of weakness into strength.
I'm Janelle, currently studying for my MPharm (Master of Pharmacy) degree at Kings College London. I studied at Wells Cathedral School before moving to the capital for university, and was also a specialist violinist there. Passions in life include music, chemistry, maths, tea and good literature. I have always loved teaching and find it incredibly rewarding.
I give lessons to a wide range of students in terms of ability and age. My style is first to tell what you are supposed to know in accordance with your syllabus. This will be followed by asking whether you would like me to cover only certain areas or the full syllabus. I will then take tests at the beginning to find out the depth of your knowledge to help me determine the starting point.
I help A level and GCSE students with their exams as well as lower undergraduate students with their coursework. My speciality is physical and inorganic chemistry. I recap the material frequently so that you end up remembering it unconsciously. I also split the work up into easy little topics which lead on to each other. I can send you key equations that you will need to know for each topic too.
I have just finished my A-Levels and achieved two As in Biology and Chemistry. Currently I am taking a gap year, and with the content fresh in my mind I would like to pass on my knowledge to the current GCSE and A-Level science students.

Hi I'm a 17 year old student currently studying at Wallington Country Grammar School looking to be a part time tutor. I study Maths, Phyiscs and Chemistry at A level and in my final year. I love tutoring. I feel being able to help students in their studies is one of the best feelings.
I am a final year medical sciences student at the University of Exeter. I tutor primary and secondary students in maths and science. I teach based on the child's strengths and interests, be it music or sports. I work with either a pupil's specific area of concern or and area highlighted by practice papers.
Teach students quick ways to learn concepts by offering cheat methods, whilst still being able to get full marks on a paper. Has been successful for myself so I try to offer a better perspective of the subject as I am younger. Am the most friendly person you will meet and will make the lessons fun and enjoyable.
My students consider me a highly effective teacher. I am experienced, well organised, motivated, enthusiastic, very supportive, with a good sense of humour; I establish rapport with my students.
I have one year of experience tutoring a range of ages and abilities, as well as a good understanding of chemical principles up to A level chemistry.
I will confidently and enthusiastically teach maths and science in core exams, such as 11+, GCSEs and A levels. I aim to teach the full content required in preparation for exams, ensure examination questions are practiced in depth and answered to mark scheme specification. In addition, I will provide relevant homework per session.
My lessons are geared towards those in Primary and KS3. I can also offer GCSE tutoring as I took my GCSE in the New Grading system last year. My teaching style is very flexible and I will devise a separate lesson plan based on each student according to what they are learning and what they feel they are struggling with. I am also able to provide many resources, such as revision cards and worksheets.
I give lessons to students at KS3, GCSE and A-Level. With Maths lessons I test the student first to have an idea of their understanding. Following on from this I provide tailored examples to target the students weaker topics and then give then some problems to solve themselves.
I base my teaching on how the child learns the best. I will listen to their ideas and opinions and we will find a way which works best for both of us. As a student I know the frustration of not learning from a tutor in a way which works for me so I will do my best to listen to the student.
I will use the techniques I found most useful during my studies to provide my students with the best chance of academic success, but also integrating my love for chemistry in to my teaching so my student is able to enjoy studying the subject.
I am a recent graduate from The University of Sheffield with a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Financial Management. I am pursuing a career in tutoring and teaching. I have been tutoring Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics for 3+ years.
I usually teach GCSE for Physics, Chemistry and Maths. I also teach Chemistry and Maths for A-level. The way I teach my students is through notes, videos of real life applications and lots of questions. The lesson will usually have a quick review of the previous session, then some explanation of the new topic and then questions to consolidate everything.
My teaching method is simple, I show the student the specification and we work through it systematically with mini tests (to highlight which areas need more work) between the completion of each topic. I aim to work ahead of what the student may be doing in class as the student may be capable to learn faster but due to having 30 kids in a class they can be held back.
My teaching mathod is explaining each topic from simple basic level to higher complex level through different daily life examples.
