I offer first lesson free to GCSE and A-level students. I have PhD/MSc degrees from Imperial College London. I am an expert tutor of /A-level/GCSE maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. I also tutor University level Mathematics, Statistics, SPSS/Stata based projects, fluid/structural mechanics etc.
I use a combination of teaching new materials and also examination practice. I work around the needs of the students and also follow a curriculum outline. I have taught all of the main examination boards Edexcel, AQA and OCR Science. As a tutor that can teach both maths and science, I am able to integrate learning from both disciplines.
Can teach chemistry and biology to all levels! Very efficent and energetic and can deliver my message very clearly to student
I teach KS1, KS2, KS3, Literacy, Numeracy and GCSE Maths and Science. The subject is explained in a clear, logical and easy to understand manner, to reinforce what the student learnt at school. I prepare beforehand what is going to be covered.
My teaching methodology is logic focused which ensures that not only do they learn about things that happen but why do they happen and what is the use of such things. It will be mainly interactive sessions where I will ask the student's questions and they'll ask me questions. This way they will form multiple memories associated with a topic which will make it harder for them to forget said topic.
I tutor children from year 7 to year 11 (GCSE), my lessons are 1 hour long but if the students want to cover more due to maybe having a test the following week or to catch up they are more than welcome to have 2 hours I charge very low prices starting from £8 an hour to £14 for 2 hours, the prices may vary according to the number of children in a lesson.
I would like the student to tell me what to do preferably, however the if the student is struggling to decide what he/she needs help with, I can test the student and look at the syllabus and work from there.
I am able to teach students from Key Stage 3 up to GCSE in subjects relating to maths, chemistry and physics. Lessons would be based on your current knowledge of the subject, and built up from then on.
My teaching methods are based on looking at challenges differently and from a different perspective from the standard textbook method. I like making lessons fun and using real-life examples, props and videos so that subject matters are not only understood but remembered for a long time to come.
I teach according to the students ability always trying to stretch and challenge. I encourage independent learning as much as possible.
I'll be starting Maths at Imperial in September, and so I'm confident in teaching almost all areas of maths up to A Level. We'll talk about what goal you have in mind, what grade you want in what exam etc. and go through papers and questions. I'll try to change between a hands on demonstration of how to approach maths, and a laid back approach, letting you talk me through everything you're doing.
One-to-One lessons based around students desired topics, or alternatively based around upcoming assessments, in order to prepare for examinations, or set assignments. Wide variety of teaching techniques from exam technique to problem solving and creative games based learning activities also.
My main focus in my lessons is to make the student feel comfortable and open enough to discuss with me what they find hard or need extra help on. From there, a lesson structure can be built based on their strengths and weaknesses that allow them to work through the stuff that's not making sense.
I aim to teach in order of the pages in the new A level specification and Aqa kerboodle A level textbook that are given in schools. After covering each topic with the student, I will provide a series of exam style questions to consolidate the students knowledge.
I first engage with the student to get an understanding of where he/she is and set goals accordingly
I teaching method is very individualistic and pay attention to every child differently, prioritising their needs and weaknesses. I provide extra resources and past exam papers on the particular subject area. I like to follow a schedule and therefore make a timetable on the first day and work towards it.
One to one allows connection with another studen on a personal level, it allows better understanding as the student will go at their own pace rather than feel pressurised
A firm believer that teaching style should be different for every student. I strive to deliver results by adopting an individualistic teaching method that will help my student understand concepts in his or her own way and apply them correctly and effectively.
My teaching is intuitive, allowing students to develop their own problem-solving skills and develop creative solutions. I believe that rather than providing students with answers, providing them with the pathway to developing solutions is far more important, and has proven to be successful.
I am currently a mathematics student at Warwick looking to share my knowledge and all that I have learnt in order to help and work with students to achieve their aims. I am enthusiastic about my subject and dedicated in providing an effective and enjoyable environment for students to learn.
In first lessons, I quickly understand the weak points. From there onwards, the student and I work together to turn those weaknesses into strength. Every lesson, as well as covering theory, I also go through practical real-life examples and the exam style question related to the topic of the lesson.
I teach students from Year 1 up to Year 10. I don't have a fixed teaching method and find students often learn best in different ways in order to enhance their learning ability.
I like to draw up a plan initially with the student(s) so that there is some sense of direction with what is going to happen and when. Within the plan there is always flexibility if more emphasis is needed on particular topics, then this can be accommodated for.
I am a gap year student who completed her A levels with 3 As in Chemistry, Biology and French. I teach AQA Chemistry. I give lessons to a range of different students and I am currently tutoring approximately 60 students in total, in groups, pair and one-to-one sessions.
I tutor up to A level students in the subjects afore listed, and on occasion I offer my services to those pursuing undergraduate study in Pure Mathematics as well. My method of instruction follows the usual paradigm during the lesson, but what I can offer beyond is variety of resources meant to supplement my teaching.
I can ensure that I adapt my style of teaching to suit each individual as this ensures each student performs to the best of their abilities. I have had great success with 11+ students. I also create a personalised programme for each student to follow so that they can achieve their goals. This means that every student works at the pace that will allow them to bring out the best of themselves.
I understand that no two students are the same and all possess different strengths and weaknesses. It is important to cater to the students needs whilst offering a supportive programme that will lead the student to reach his/her potential. .
