All teaching has to put the student first. I'll look to identify your strengths and targets for improvement, and prepare focused, student-centred lessons to improve the level of your skills and (just as importantly) your confidence, helping you to succeed.
I'm a second year undergraduate student studying Social Anthropology. However, I studied English up to A level achieving a solid A grade. My aim is working with students predominately at secondary level (GCSE and A level) but I can teach younger students if required. I normally start with a consultation with the student to see what they need help with and relevant material for each student.
I will first get an understanding of the types of learners that I am teaching and thereafer develop a strategy that will align with their interests. Creative strategies will be employed such as videos, songs as well as other fun and exciting activities.
My teaching focuses on passion and enthusiasm -- English is so easily dismissed by people who find it difficult. I endeavour to confer my deep enthusiasm and appreciation for literatures to students. As such, I work on exploring different avenues than those students have already found, to try and unlock greater enjoyment and deeper understanding.
I am a university student in QUB, studying drama and theatre. I have completed ten GCSE's and four A levels, all grade C or above and have a passion for innovitave and dynamic teaching. I went to Assumption Grammar school where my drama teacher often asked me to create lesson plans and teach students at GCSE and A level, when she was engaged in other activities.
My teaching method is to identify what the individual struggles the most with and focus on their weaknesses until they become strengths.
I've just graduated from Queen's University with a degree in English literature and modern history. My dream is to become a teacher who can combine a passion for knowledge with a positive student experience. My lessons are based on listening to the student and molding the lesson around their personal needs. I'm here to listen and help rather than force my interests on the student.
I am a writer from Belfast who likes to tutor lessons in English literature, with an interest in Shakespearean drama, Greek tragedy, and poetry, from GCSE to A Level and beyond. I have developed analytical methods to approaching a piece of work and deconstructing its technical composition to gain a vantage point for interpretation, analysis, and engagement with the text.
I am currently studying for BA(hons) in English Language and Literature having been placed top of my year for first year. As I hope to ultimately become a secondary school teacher I am very interested in tutoring and am very patient when working with pupils.
I'm a recent First Class English with Creative Writing graduate, with experience in dissertation writing (poetry). I have also had work published. I offer an hour long tutoring session in which I will go over work sent prior to the meeting. I'm catering toward current creative writing students, preferably at university level but I can work with those at A Level.

I use tried and trusted resources developed over my long standing career to aid pupil understanding and engagement. Moreover, I also focus on exam technique to improve performance and attainment and offer feedback which is meaningful and expansive, so that students have clear goalposts for their learning.
My teaching method is unique and tailored to each child, focusing on their weaknesses as well as continuing to improve on their strengths. I work at the pace of each individual child and incorporate their likes and interests to make each lesson engaging and interesting.
If you come to me for tutoring, we will start our first session with a chat about your goals, and then we'll make a plan to get you there. We will discuss what we can realistically cover in each subsequent lesson, and set some mini-goals to meet along the way. We'll try to have fun while we work to make sure you stay engaged with the subject.
