I am able to provide lessons for those up to GCSE level. My teaching method is compartmentalising the topic to make it easier to understand and approach. I utilise a variety of fun methods to learn and revise to avoid making the content boring.
I base my classes on extracts and diagrams. I like to put myself in the characters place and try and think like them. When looking at literature extracts I enjoy acting them out and talking through the situations.
- Classes Initially there will be an information meeting (usually at your home) that lasts about an hour. It gives families an opportunity to find out more about the Kumon programme and ensures that everyone is happy with what they will have to do for the student to get the best possible benefits out of their Kumon study.
I always adapt my teaching methods to suit the individual student, focusing on building confidence as well as test scores. Furthermore, I try and develop an enthusiasm for learning so that the student continues to progress from start to finish.
I give lessons to suit the requirements of primary, secondary, GCSE and A level students. After establishing the needs of a particular student, I offer a question-and-answer style of tutoring with information presented in short manageable segments and practice questions to ensure understanding at regular intervals.
I am very calm and patient, and I focus on making sure that my lessons are adapted to the needs of the student, supporting him/her whilst also ensuring that he/she is being encouraged to achieve the very best results. I believe strongly in order to maximise the potential for learning, i must build a relationship with my peer first. A mature, sensible and professional relationship built upon a mutual respect will ensure the peers comfort and make them more willing to engage in my lessons. Occasional jokes and a similar sense of humour and shared interest help with this but aren't necessary.
I approach teaching by having a clear understanding of my students learning style. From there I am able to develop my lessons to suit either visual, auditory or kinetic learning styles to ensure each lessons is both effective and enjoyable.

My teaching method consists of making the lessons fun and enjoyable so that the student is able to engage for a longer period of time.
I tutor GCSE, A LEVEL University level.
I pride myself in the professional relationships I develop with the students I teach, attempting to develop lessons that seek to engage with the interests and strengths that my student possesses, in order to build the confidence and skill set required to become academically successful.
Moreover, I approach each topic methodically, basing lessons around your current ability. Firstly, I will explain everything you need to know about the exams (structures of exams, marks, mark schemes and top tips on how to answer each question.) Then we will explore the content and use this knowledge to complete practice questions which will fully prepare you for your GCSE'S.
I follow an integrated approach to teaching that blends both personality and interests of the students whilst covering the needs of the child and the areas of the curriculum where support is required.
