First and foremost I analyse each students' strengths and weaknesses. Secondly, how much desire do they have to succeed in their particular subject. Thirdly, I have an agreement between us to strictly follow a goal and a minute by minute plan for maximum output to success.
I found that students learn best when being led by example. For this reason, each topic is started from basics and worked upward at their pace. After setting the example solutions, more questions are set to ensure thorough understanding. I am very patient, so you will not leave the lesson confused. Any difficult questions can be prompted by me, after your own attempts.
Explaining through examples and description, but also going through methods and testing the student, whilst highlighting the most important part of an answer that will score marks. Lessons will be started by asking the student if they have anything they're stuck on and want attention on and the lesson will lead from there to aim that they understand what they previously didn't.
My teaching method is very interactive, and I aim to keep students engaged 100% of the time. Having worked with students who may not have been model pupils at school but clearly have the intellectual capacity to excel in their studies, I make sure the lessons cover the school curriculum without boring students.
I'll be starting Maths at Imperial in September, and so I'm confident in teaching almost all areas of maths up to A Level. We'll talk about what goal you have in mind, what grade you want in what exam etc. and go through papers and questions. I'll try to change between a hands on demonstration of how to approach maths, and a laid back approach, letting you talk me through everything you're doing.
My lesson structure is quite simple. Go over each part of specification in detail. Do past exam questions over them. Finally, go over mistakes and keep practicing. I am also very friendly and calm, so be sure to have a positive experience when learning with me.
i am a Chinese oversea student who studied GCSE and A levels in UK. i want to use summer time to help any GCSE and A level student who has problems on maths. i achieved my own way of learning and time schedules to get good result on exams, i want to share all my great experience with all of you.
I explain every subject that I teach in detail and provide lesson sheets on daily classes and homework sheets for the students to solve which I check and rectify in the subsequent classes.I track student progress and improvement through regular monthly assignments and tests.
I am passionate in helping students exceed their ability and build their confidence. I tailor my approach to each individual`s needs and devise a personal plan based on their level of understanding and knowledge. Students learn differently and I always patiently work with them to determine what is best for them.
I would plan about the topic and do research about it. This would give me advantage to get it ready to teach others. I would make sure I understand it very well in order to let others learn.
Hey my name is Amber, I'll teach anyone maths (or physics) at any level from primary school to AS level. My teaching method usually starts off by understanding what the current skills are of my student, this would usually involve being briefly tested on the subject. This ensures that nothing I teach you is too advanced too quickly, or if i'm being slow paced.
I am an enthusiastic and optimistic person, therefore my lessons are never dull and dreary. I approach my lessons by picking a topic, going through the method of how to answer the question, asking the student to answer one in similar style and then going though the solution. I aim to keep my lessons engaging as I believe this is important for concentration.
I like to find individual method of learning for every student.
I tutor during week ends and holidays as I have a full time lecturing job. I tutor students at their own places. If I tutor minors, I want a guardian to be present at the premise during my presence. I first access the needs of the learner, the examinations they are going to take with which board, how much time they have to prepare for their examination, what grades they want/need to get.
As a tutor, I would provide personal support on areas that you are struggling with and assist you in understanding and learning content. I can help you to become a mathematical thinker rather than being someone who just follows a set of rules to do maths. This will be very beneficial to your development.
I work by first assessing your learning style, where you currently are, where you want to be to, and the most effective route to get there. I use this to tailor my tutoring style to you, helping you to get the most out of our sessions.
I believe that the most important thing in teaching is making sure you explain the concepts so well to your students that they can then tackle any questions on the topic.
I use personalised tutoring to compliment learners school/college maths lessons by keeping regular communication with the topics covered in class to reinforce core mathematical concepts and revise for specific forthcoming tests/examinations. This has resulted in learners achieving their goals, whether that be moving up a set in school or acceptance into their 1st choice Russel Group University.
I teach my students individually, and at all levels up to A-level. I like using questions as a main form of teaching, and to progressively challenge the tutee. I focus on independence and only intervene to help when needed to.
My teaching techniques would depend on the age of the student as well as their level in the subject they want me to tutor in. for example, if you are a student in KS1 who needs practice in Literacy, then the lesson would predominantly involve reading books of your choice, spelling test, and writing stories. Classes can be held at the local Library or at my address. parents are welcome to stay.
I break down the GCSE maths curriculum down to the core and strengthen any weaknesses so learners become more confident in Maths as a whole. After while anything which pupils do not enjoy they end up growing to like. I support pupils closely first making sure they understand a topic before tackling questions.
My four main aims are the following: To challenge my students to aim for the highest attainment, ultimately this is represented by taking the higher paper at GCSE, tackling all topics for the higher paper. To build the confidence of my students and instil a relentless drive and commitment to hard work that goes beyond maths.
My teaching method is unique as I allow the student to be in control. I provide specific targeted help on what the student feels weak at and continue this until they are confident.
I believe that the best way for students to learn is though exercises and explaining very clearly the methodologies so that the student is able to follow and understand, subsequently demonstrating their ability. I am happy to teach anybody from GCSE level upwards and I will always provide new example questions, as well as providing new, interesting ways of tackling a subject.
I'm Jay Jay a second year student at Kings College London on track to get a first in my Maths degree from there. I achieved A*AA in Maths, Physics and Geography respectively at A-level. Maths is almost entirely a logic based subject. My approach to teaching Maths is very simple: you just need to understand exactly what you're doing.
I have my A-levels on Maths and Further Maths and I can give lessons to A-Level and GCSEs students. My lesson structure is based around addressing a student's weak points followed up by weekly recaps so that the weak points turn into strong points.
If you enjoy a strong grasp of advanced maths/physics topics and look to gain knowledge in these areas I am the perfect Tutor for you! -I can provide efficient yet quality tutoring from from all levels: GCSE to undergraduate level topics in maths/physics -Bring your problems and questions (preferably with a little notice beforehand of the topics/questions) and I can go through the...
I offer lessons to students studying GCSEs or A-Levels in Maths/Chemistry/Physics, who live within 5 miles of my location. The aim of each lesson would be to focus on topics that the student finds difficult and to make sure their exam technique is strong, which is essential to achieve top grades. To make sure previous and 'easier' content is well understood, homework would be set each lesson.
I prepare a 30 minute presentation regarding a specific topic before the lesson ( if a topic is selected by the tutee) and then spend 30 minutes guiding the students through exam questions.
Each student is different, so I try to adapt my teaching style to suit each particular student. Some students this prefer a very flexible approach, whereas others (often younger students) require a curriculum. I stress learning of concepts, rather than rote-learning, as this encourages deeper understanding and helps students to tackle more difficult problems.
