With the 1-1 Maths lessons, i will start off by analysing the students weaknesses and strengths. From that i will construct suitable and relevant lessons to guide the students to improve in core mathematics. I am 18 years of age and have been tutoring maths up to GCSE level for the past 2 years.
I like to cater my teaching to the unique needs of each student.
I give lessons to all students from 7+ to A level. My method involves trying a number of different approaches with each student and finding the method that works best for them and can help them to understand the content and grasp the knowledge required.
• I’m a data analyst, providing Physics and Maths tuition to students from Year 7 up to A-level. • Would focus on troublesome areas for the student, through written and verbal explanation. I would work through homework or revision tasks which the student has found tricky.
I have finished my GCSEs exams at very high standard (maths 9, triple sciences A*, and additional mathematics A). I'm currently studying at A level. I well know the content and I have a good ability of explaining it in such way that the student understands how and why to use a method of working out for a question.
I am currently a mathematics student at Warwick looking to share my knowledge and all that I have learnt in order to help and work with students to achieve their aims. I am enthusiastic about my subject and dedicated in providing an effective and enjoyable environment for students to learn.
I have a wealth of resources that I have collected over the years, and I also know what methods work given that I have studied mathematics from GCSEs. I will offer advice on how to get the best grades in preparation for university.
I am a student at the University of Glasgow currently studying Mechanical Engineering with Aeronautics. I achieved excellent GCSE's an then I progressed onto studying the "Engineering Foundation Year" at Northumbria University Newcastle. From there I am now studying Bachelors and Masters at the University of Glasgow.
My strengths lie in Mathematics up to an A-Level standard, as well as GCSE and AS Physics and Economics and I am able to tutor 11+ and younger ages in any subjects in which they are struggling. I keen to teach over the summer holidays and boost the confidence of children before they return to school.
I found that students learn best when being led by example. For this reason, each topic is started from basics and worked upward at their pace. After setting the example solutions, more questions are set to ensure thorough understanding. I am very patient, so you will not leave the lesson confused. Any difficult questions can be prompted by me, after your own attempts.
Explaining through examples and description, but also going through methods and testing the student, whilst highlighting the most important part of an answer that will score marks. Lessons will be started by asking the student if they have anything they're stuck on and want attention on and the lesson will lead from there to aim that they understand what they previously didn't.
I pride myself on the quality of any lesson I teach be it in a school, college or one to one tutoring. My aim is to reach into their mind and plant seeds of knowledge that students will nurture and bloom. My lessons are cobstantmy changing to ensure each conceptual idea is digested and comprehended. As a teacher I expect no less than 100% effort and I will give my all to get you your goal.
My teaching method is very interactive, and I aim to keep students engaged 100% of the time. Having worked with students who may not have been model pupils at school but clearly have the intellectual capacity to excel in their studies, I make sure the lessons cover the school curriculum without boring students.
Learning by immersion and intuition, refraining from boring text book examples and a mind numbing series of exercises back to back. The tuition will intensely focus on clarifying concepts and ideas using unconventional methodologies involving the use of more relatable analogies and anecdote.
Highly experienced MSc student, studying in Chemical Research. Extremely distinguished with awards throughout university and extensive tutoring experience.
My teaching is intuitive, allowing students to develop their own problem-solving skills and develop creative solutions. I believe that rather than providing students with answers, providing them with the pathway to developing solutions is far more important, and has proven to be successful.

I'll be starting Maths at Imperial in September, and so I'm confident in teaching almost all areas of maths up to A Level. We'll talk about what goal you have in mind, what grade you want in what exam etc. and go through papers and questions. I'll try to change between a hands on demonstration of how to approach maths, and a laid back approach, letting you talk me through everything you're doing.
I'm an aspiring designer with a lot of patience looking to tutor up to GCSE. Maths is an essential problem solving skill that many kids lack fundamental understanding of. I'm here to make sure this information doesn't go over their heads.
I encourage learning by using a number of different manipulatives, hands-on activities, and various forms of technology. By incorporanting class discussions, open-ended questions, and cooperative learning I am able to facilitate a highly interactive and inquisitive class atmosphere.
I am able to teach students from Key Stage 3 up to GCSE in subjects relating to maths, chemistry and physics. Lessons would be based on your current knowledge of the subject, and built up from then on.
I follow both theory and practical approach. The key to success is to be efficient with hard work. Trying to learn something is a journey which is to be taken with a teacher.
I am looking to use my knowledge of Mathematics and Physics to help someone who is struggling in these subjects. I am a very patient person and am able to explain complex ideas simply to children. I will set weekly homework for the child to complete and will mark it on a weekly basis.
One-to-One lessons based around students desired topics, or alternatively based around upcoming assessments, in order to prepare for examinations, or set assignments. Wide variety of teaching techniques from exam technique to problem solving and creative games based learning activities also.
I find unique ways of teaching through everyday examples and simplifying topics to make them easier to relate to. Every idea needs to be taught with passion so that learning is an exciting experience. I have been a STEM ambassador for the past 3 years mentoring and sharing my experience, visiting schools to encourage students to take up a career in engineering.
Gap year student, going on to study computer science at University of Edinburgh. I am a Kinaestetic (active) teacher, which means my teaching style is dependant on quizzes and discussions. So, I will structure my sessions with a quiz on last weeks' material, then move on to the study material. As we go along, the student will be asked impromptu questions testing their understanding of the material.
I'm a recent chemistry graduate from the University of Kent offering A-Level Chemistry and up to GCSE Science and Maths tutoring. My approach to teaching focuses on guiding the understanding of key ideas rather than the regurgitation of facts, not hesitating to go more in-depth to explain a simplified model used in more fundamental levels of the subjects.
My teaching style is to explain in greater details what the student has learnt from school, with worked examples. I try to teach in a relaxed and friendly manner so the student also enjoys learning and finds the process rewarding. Also go over past exam papers.
I am currently studying MEng Biomedical Engineering at University, in conjunction with teaching part-time at a Tuition Centre for two years now. I have been teaching Science at a KS3 to GCSE Level with a great focus on Chemistry and Physics.
The way to tackle the syllabus is practice and Id like to show that practicing regularly and staying up to date with the daily work covered during school classes would ultimately be beneficial for the final outcome. I give my best effort and time for me is not the issue, it is the target that needs to be achieved at the end of each session.
