From an BA archaeology student comes a fun and personal teaching of historical subjects to help achieve the best grades in school. Exam preparation includes fluid essay writing practice during timed conditions and revision guidance suitable for exams or coursework.
I have a flexible teaching method as I believe everyone learns differently. Typically classes are based on reading through written answers, analysing the essay to identify areas of strength and weakness.
My teaching method will be based around your learning needs, I will always evaluate my students first to find out what areas they struggle with and how they learn and I will create a learning plan that suits the student.
I am currently taking a gap year and will be commencing my history degree in September 2018. I am keen to help secondary school students to excel in their studies, but also to really enjoy their learning.
I'm a Law student at Swansea University and achieved good grades at GCSE. Hardworking, confident, charismatic and punctual. Studying History for 7 years and achieving an A at GCSE and a B at A-level has given me a thorough understanding of what is needed to get good grades as well as given me a passion for the subject.
I am a final year historian who is capable of teaching to all levels up to undergraduate. I believe that teaching is most effective when the student is engaged and the tutor understands where the student is struggling rather than just supplying knowledge. I aim to make history not only engaging but also informative to make the most out of any lessons.
My teaching is most suited to GCSE, A Level, and first-year degree level. Lessons are tailored specifically to the student's academic level and experience though will consistently cultivate the discipline's principal requirements of critical thought, time management, logical structuring, and depth of analysis.
I believe in fostering a positive and encouraging working environment. I have experience as a Primary School teaching assistant, as well as an auntie to two bright young children. I have also been a part of higher education for four years and will complete a PhD in another three, so I have full working knowledge of what universities are looking for and expecting in potential students.
