While teaching, I use tact, patience and persuasion to understand students’ psychology, develop rapport and build strong relationships with them to have effective two-way communication and make lectures more enjoyable.

I aim to help you understand and enjoy maths by breaking down the most complex topics into their fundamental constituent parts, highlighting key links between topics in order to help you break through the potentially confusing barrier of jargon heavy textbooks and exam papers.
For me, mathematics and physics are entirely about the clarity with which they are taught. Every student should go into their maths and physics and exams with a strong intuition about the subject, and this comes from having a topic explained by someone who understands the subject in depth.
I think in maths the most important is to understand the problem and find the most effective solution. That's what I'm trying to teach my students how to think to find the most effective way to solve your problems. This could be use in life, at future job, basically everywhere. I want everyone to succeed because it will make the world better place to society.
Maths and English can be daunting subjects, but that makes the reward of success all the greater. My approach combines gentleness with enthusiasm and challenge, engaging students to develop their confidence and their interest in the subject. I work with students from year 4 to A level, and always consider the board specification in planning.
The lessons I will be giving are for any level of study up to and including A levels for both Maths and Physics. My lessons will be focused on helping the student better understand concepts or questions they have faced in the classroom which they do not fully grasp or struggle with. As the classes are 1 to 1 I am able to give the attention and time that a student is not always given in a classroom.
When teaching, my methodology is simple and easy for the student to work to. It is to work with the student to not only improve the grades within the subject, but pass on my passion and interest towards the subject as well. I have always found that when the passion for a subject increases, the grades will soon follow.
My teaching method is to find out how the pupil learns and adapt the lessons to them. My experience in a Primary School setting allows me to break down maths topics to easier segments. I want to ensure the learner has good knowledge and understanding of a topic before moving on to the next targeted area.
I like to teach on a 1-2-1 basis with no distractions and with rewards. I approach every subject by refreshing on the easier stuff and working up to the harder areas of work, whilst also ensuring that my pupil understands. If not, we can go through it again in a different context.
My teaching methodology is to initially understand the areas you are keen to focus on, and then read up prior to our lesson, ensuring I am thoroughly prepared to guide you step by step to arrive at the solution. I am most keen to deliver lessons to GCSE and AS/A2 level students, as i have thorough experience with most examined topics across the major exam boards such as OCR, AQA, and Edexcel.
2nd Year medical student at Imperial College London. 19. Maths, Chemistry, Biology? I'm your guy. Have been tutoring last year, and have been tutored for over 10 years. I have a very straight way of thinking which I think people enjoy, especially if you 'don't get it'.
I approach each topic by starting with the basics and working up. Throughout studying for GCSEs, A Levels and my course I have found many better ways of visualising the problems in subjects that I have come up with myself as I go along that I would be more than willing to share.
When I teach, I like to break things down to basics and build up since in mathematics it is crucial to have a good understanding of the foundations of a topic before you approach the top level problems. My aim in teaching is to help someone to fully understand a topic/ questions within a topic, to the point that they can succeed at the hardest of questions about that topic.
I am happy to tutor children and adults in primary level mathematics. I try to understand your needs and work on your strengths and interests to open up the subject for you. I have a strong focus on life skills and exam technique as well as making the lesson engaging, fun and memorable.
If interested in receiving tutoring from me, I will usually have one or two trial sessions with the student to get a feel of the level they are at and to identify key areas in which they may particularly struggle. After setting achievable and manageable goals based on this first analysis, we will work towards them together, at the student's own pace.
I am able to adapt to the students' needs and struggling topics so my teaching will be based off what the student prioritises as their biggest struggle first. I am quite young and have recently done my GCSEs so I am very easy and friendly to communicate with.
I have a flexible approach to tutoring based on the students aims and interests. If I am tutoring a student to pass specific exams I will use past exam papers to determine their problem areas. Then we will focus on these areas so as they can achieve their highest possible mark.
With teaching experience in Finland and Hungary, as well as experience in the South West and West Midlands, I have explored a range of successful teaching styles. With this experience I aim to inspire students to acquire a thirst for knowledge and learning through new and constantly improving teaching methods.
I would like to give lessons to students up to GCSE level but can provide AS level knowledge. One of the key ideas i would like to implement as a tutor is the concept of continous improvement. Topics in maths can be taught in a short time span but require repeat practise and varied questions to master. As a tutor, I will make it my goal to impart this mentality to all students.
My teaching method is suited to the student, I understand that everyone learns in a different way and feel that it is necessary to cater to this method. I base my classes on the students weakest point and progress to the strongest in order to develop a complete understanding of the subject.
Will teach GCSE maths students that want to learn maths online. My teaching would be based on anything you do not understand and I would use examples to explain methods, until the student fully understands the topic. I can use Skype to speak to the student or answer questions with emails and videos.
My name is Hannah and I’m a student Midwife at UoW. I have done multiple courses before this, including L3 Children’s Care Learning & Development and L3 Access to Healthcare.
My name is Luke Jones and i have finished my GCSE’s. I am aware of new specifications and achieved an A* in all of my exams. I can give others who are struggling help with maths, biology, chemistry, physics and many more related subjects as i have a direct understanding of what children of this age need and how they can learn it with ease.
I think the biggest problem with school today is they force you memorise instead of making you understand. Once you understand how Maths and science work and their applications in real life, learning comes naturally. That’s what I’ll try to do.
My teaching method is to teach a method and get the student to answer questions to ensure they have successfully learnt the method for each topic that they highlight they are struggling in
After working with hundreds of Year 11s over the past 5 years, I am an expert in identifying students’ weaknessess and providing engaging targeted tuition which enables rapid progress.
I believe that every student is unique, and requires a different approach to learning. With maths being a difficult subject for many students, I will offer an individual and fun alternative to personal revision. I have lots of patience, and my age allows me to teach students on a level to help them achieve their targets.
My lessons are structured towards a specific discipline in the curriculum with the goal of giving the student a sound understanding of the subject as well as being able to put their knowledge into a practical situation/exam I undertake a broad evaluation of any new student to understand where their skills and areas of weakness lie.
