Hello, I have worked as a teacher of mathematics, as well as director of maths with responsibility for GCSE, and I work as an expert examiner for Edexcel. I have recently moved into the Bromsgrove area, and I am now in the position of offering private maths tuition to GCSE and AS level students in the area.
I teach to the English National Curriculum but, ensuring that I reach the level of the individual. I can work with a set structure over a number of lessons or I can support the individual with specific areas of support (with prior notice). I am also able to support adults with a foundation level of learning in maths and English.
I am an A-level student who achieved 10 A*s at GCSE. In my sessions I would focus on areas of the subject that the student particularly struggles with as well as- general revision, going through exam questions and help with homework. I find that being of a similar age to the students I am helping makes it easier for me to think of relatable analogies to assist with their leaning.
I am an Engineering Student studying in University of Birmingham. I am in my final year and will be graduating in July. Right from childhood I have passion for Maths, Physics and Chemistry and because of that my concepts are crystal clear.
My teaching method is suited to the student, I understand that everyone learns in a different way and feel that it is necessary to cater to this method. I base my classes on the students weakest point and progress to the strongest in order to develop a complete understanding of the subject.
My teaching method is adaptable, based upon the needs of the student. However, I always incorporate practice questions into my lessons, to ensure the student's learning is applicable to examinations. I am approachable, and consistently ask students for feedback to ensure they are making progress.
When teaching the children maths, I base the sessions on the children's abilities and try to introduce new topics and challenges as well improve their knowledge with previous topics that they are either struggling with or want to progress further. I try to make every session fun and interactive so the children can learn new skills faster and more effectively.
I am a qualified maths teacher with previous experience teacher all abilities from the age of 11-16. I also have experience with working in a tutoring centre that tutored from the age of 5 up. I have a 2:1 bachelors degree with honours in Economics.
My teaching method is.. I teach my students the information and if they seem to understand it, I give them to task to complete and give them a hand if they’re still unsure.
Maths and Physics can definitely be overwhelming, but if you work with me I'll break down the main bits of information with mnemonics for example, so you can relate and understand more easily. I'm Anthony top student teaching GCSE & below.
Having achieved grades AAA in (AS) level last year, I became experienced with the syllabus and would be able to teach you all the techniques and tips I used to help you achieve similar grades. I rely on the latest textbooks, revision guides and past papers endorsed by the exam board.
I try to cover a topic a lesson, ensuring every aspect is covered and understood before moving onto the next one as I know it's important to not just be able to do the method but be able to apply it to questions. Also, I want the student to dictate the lesson, I want it to be most effective for you so therefore I will ensure every session is aimed to help you.
My teaching method is based on doing plenty of examples and exam papers. It is important to start with the theory then move on to worked examples followed by many, many questions. I firmly believe time spent practising exam papers is the key- as this will prep my students for the ultimate test.
My name is Connor Gillespie and I am a 17 year old maths, physics and chemistry student, currently studying at King Edwards VI college Stourbridge. I am hard working and hope to pass these assets on to my students.
If you are looking for maths or chemistry lessons up to A-level knowledge, I’m your girl, I can also do specific subject e.
I’m currently taking my Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Birmingham. I tutor all the students from the first grade to degree levels. The structure of the lesson is very simple. We usually begin with the basic knowledge about the topic because I think once the base is strong nothing can go wrong.
I am a qualified Mathematics teacher (PGCE Pre Service in the Lifelong Learning Sector) from the University of Huddersfield (2015-2016) and I hold a first Class BSc (Hons) degree in applied mathematics from the University of Salford, UK (2010-2013).
Whilst at work I teach and support children at Primary age with mathematics as enthusiastically as possible! I completed As-level maths a few years ago and I am very keen to pass on my knowledge. Lesson structure consists of direct learning: I complete the task first, then I complete the task with the child as a pair, followed by the child completing the task themselves.
My teaching method is first making the learning enjoyable for every student.
I would tutor any student up to Year 13 in Maths, and would target specific subject areas as proposed by the student. Working through example questions together and having the student practice would be a main focus of the sessions.
University level maths knowledge (Engineering Degree) with a background of excellent A levels and GCSE's (all A* or A grade) Lessons can consist of past paper questions, worked examples and any specific issues to the student.
My teaching method involves going through content, then consolidating the knowledge with worksheets & exam questions. My plan is to work around the exam board’s spec, ensuring that all the necessary content is covered.

I graduated from The University of Birmingham and obtained a PhD degree. I love teaching children Maths (up to GCSE level) and tutoring for 11+ test and am committed to excellence and determined to make an impact in the life of all my students.
I will start with a quick chat to ask where pupil wants help, then test some basic skills and correct those straight away, then gradually increase difficulty. I am very patient and always looking for a different angle to explain something if it's not understood the first time.
Im currently a student at the University of Birmingham pursuing a degree in Mechanical engineering with maths as my major. Happy to teach students uptil GCSE level. My teaching would be hand on and using the simplest methods possible to solve a question.
I strive hard to make learning meaningful, and applicable to daily life helping students to understand why Maths is such an important subject for overall life opportunities. My teaching style is structured around firstly identifying current understanding, gaps in knowledge, and then tackling identified issues in a tailored way.
I like to think I can help the young generation! I work well with all tipes of children. I like to work with all special children. I prefer to teach children at their home, this way they are more relaxed and can be more attentive to the lesson.
