While teaching, I use tact, patience and persuasion to understand students’ psychology, develop rapport and build strong relationships with them to have effective two-way communication and make lectures more enjoyable.
The lessons I will be giving are for any level of study up to and including A levels for both Maths and Physics. My lessons will be focused on helping the student better understand concepts or questions they have faced in the classroom which they do not fully grasp or struggle with. As the classes are 1 to 1 I am able to give the attention and time that a student is not always given in a classroom.
I like to teach on a 1-2-1 basis with no distractions and with rewards. I approach every subject by refreshing on the easier stuff and working up to the harder areas of work, whilst also ensuring that my pupil understands. If not, we can go through it again in a different context.
My name is Hannah and I’m a student Midwife at UoW. I have done multiple courses before this, including L3 Children’s Care Learning & Development and L3 Access to Healthcare.
After working with hundreds of Year 11s over the past 5 years, I am an expert in identifying students’ weaknessess and providing engaging targeted tuition which enables rapid progress.
I believe that every student is unique, and requires a different approach to learning. With maths being a difficult subject for many students, I will offer an individual and fun alternative to personal revision. I have lots of patience, and my age allows me to teach students on a level to help them achieve their targets.
I adopt the KISP principal, keep it simple please! I explain concepts in the most easy to understand way, the way that I would like it explained if I were a student.
Hello, my name is Jazib Ahmad, and I am aiming to pursue a career in Medicine. I am confident in teaching Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Physics from ages 5-15 (mainly 11+ and KS3). I will love to tutor online and the lessons will be more about me explaining the topic of the lesson and asking questions about the topic (interactive).
I discuss the topic generally with the student along with each of the subtopics to gauge how confident the student is in each, as well as what they feel they need to work more or less on. The problem topics will then be integrated with the other 'easier' topics in order to avoid the adoption of the "i cant do it" attitude.
A friendly approach and careful assessment helps me identify pupil misconceptions. I then ensure clear understanding of basic skills using a range of strategies. This approach leads to new self confidence enabling students to make rapid progress.

I would first find out what the student knows and go from there. Depending on the type of hurdle we'll be attempting, either drawing up practise questions or simply finding new ways to explain old concepts would be two of my approaches. With GCSE and A-level, often the results come from a deep understanding of core concepts and then lots of practise implementing them.
My main teaching method is to go through work sheets to find the specific areas that need improving.
When I teach, I like to break things down to basics and build up since in mathematics it is crucial to have a good understanding of the foundations of a topic before you approach the top level problems. My aim in teaching is to help someone to fully understand a topic/ questions within a topic, to the point that they can succeed at the hardest of questions about that topic.
My teaching methods are very structured, ensuring there is a process in place which can be followed clearly.
2nd Year medical student at Imperial College London. 19. Maths, Chemistry, Biology? I'm your guy. Have been tutoring last year, and have been tutored for over 10 years. I have a very straight way of thinking which I think people enjoy, especially if you 'don't get it'.
I enthusiastically help my students to improve their understanding of the subject with a friendly, calm and patient approach. I believe anyone can learn given the right help and with time. I make sure I understand my students’ needs, their strengths and weaknesses. I give them a strong foundation, and teach a concept in different ways to create a good understanding.
