My approach to teaching is very flexible, of course, depending on the area of teaching. More often it would be verbal and practical, in the aspect that we would solve problems and then review them afterwards. However I would use outside resources as well, this would include videos, texts, lectures, presentations and powerpoints too.
I like to teach via the Socratic Method pedagogy. This involves asking questions to encourage the formulation of answers as the true learning outcome. This is especially important in the subjects I wish to teach as concepts shouldn't just be remembered but understood to provide a solid foundation for future modules.
I am currently completing my first year of A-Levels, having been through the new GCSE Maths, English Language and English Literature, I believe that I can fully understand the current concerns of students regarding these changes to the courses.
My teaching method is finding a way for each individual to understand in a way that suits themselves.
I can give lessons to students in year 11 (GCSE) or below. I can set and mark practise questions, help with homework, explain difficult topics, or provide and mark past papers.
I like to keep lessons as relaxed as possible to keep the learning stress free. However, I also want the student to achieve as much as possible. Therefore, in the first lesson I go through a list of general questions highlighting areas that need more work and those that the student likes and dislikes. From there I create a series of lesson plans.
My teaching procedure will be introducing new materials, accompanying with relevant exercise. After a few chapters of new knowledge, I will give you a small test checking if you understand. After a whole course, I will summarise all the information you have to know and give you a few more tests on the knowledge you know.
My teaching method is simplifying things and using real life examples which make learning fun and interesting. Also encouraging students to practice as much as possible.
I provide lessons in Maths and Further Maths and Physics up to A-Levels, I specialised with OCR MEI for A-Level Maths and Further Maths. Furthermore I did the new style A-Level for Physics (OCR A) so I can tailor specific to your exam board whatever the level.
I have a PhD in theoretical physics and I have worked at first-class universities including Imperial College and Warwick University. I have extensive knowledge of physics, mathematics and computing and I have taught successfully for many years. I am available to teach up to degree level in the Oxford area.
I approach each topic on its own merits but encourage the student to think for themselves, and create the best way for them to learn and progress. Lessons will vary but I prefer the student to be very much involved rather than me simply dictating. I am an approachable individual that tries to make learning enjoyable.
I am currently in my first year as a chemistry student at Imperial College London, having studied Chemistry maths and physics at A-level, getting A*A*A respectively. Wanting to do something is the quickest way to learn and make progress. I love teaching children using a range of different games and activities to make sure learning is fun for them, to keep them engaged and relaxed. I like to build on the child’s own interests and skills, using what they already know to help them feel confident and ensuring they make progress in each session.
Very hands on teaching methods tailored towards individual pupil, eg can teach by using sports analogies. I find this method means the student can fully engage in the subject and I feel this is the only way that allows a full understanding.

I base my teaching methods on Bruner's Spiral curriculum where students are initially taught the basics where they are built upon as the student becomes more experienced. Students generally benefit from this method which has shown great success over the years I have been teaching.
My teaching method is to encourage the students to discover Maths for themselves, thus re-creating in the classroom the role of a professional mathematician. I prefer this approach over instructional methods as I believe that students will retain knowledge discovered for themselves for longer than information that they have been told by someone else.
I base my lessons on the specification and ensure the student understands the first principles and builds knowledge from a good foundation. Extra details and techniques to help achieve the top grade.
I strive to establish a connection between myself and the student, trying to make teaching a two way process. I can deal with children of all ages and am very communicative.
